This reminds me of me and my horse belle! Why don't you ride your horse with a saddle pad under the saddle. No matter if it is an english or western saddle you need a pad. I ride western.... BUT VERY VERY CUTE VIDEO! <3 :)

Aren't welshies the best? My best friend has had hers since she was 7, he was 5 at the time ( he was a rescue) she had to build their trust from the ground up. He didnt want people near him, so, she would put his feed in his stall and sit next to it. If he was hungry enough, he would approach and eat, and let her pet him. Now, 14 years later, she still has him, and she let me ride him (ive been riding 10 years and had NEVER ridden a pony before) and boy was he a confidence builder!
To those complaining that the rider is too big...how do you think ponies get broke in? You don't just throw a little kid up on a pony for its training and first rides. Welshes are also a very hardy breed, and she appears to be handling the larger rider just fine.

im sorry but i work at a rscue centre for orses and you are WAY to big 4 her, u really need 2 get anew ponny, it will end up with back problems and it is verging on gettin cruel!
i ride a welshie ho was broken last year and he isnt jumping yet! he can be a bit of a scardy cat sometime though and to some people hoo think the rider is to big welshies can carry tenagers and light adults easy peasy so dont worry the welshie ride for someone used to be ridden by a 17 yr old

well, you could ride another horsiepony and if you really love her, and wanna do sth good to her, just do something without riding... like tricks or sth like curricle.
if you love her... if you want her to be alive and healthy a long time...
such a sweet pony..... is a really confidence giver... but it says in yr little description thing that u took her to her first show under the saddle and won 18 rossettes.Dnt u think thats way to many classes for a 5 year old that hasnt been in riding very long.Wen i compette my 9 year old TBx i will take her in 3/4 classes max.And thats including clear round... other wise its to much 4 them and the wont want to do it again and they will go all stubon and sour.so may b tone it down on the classes

N anyway i dont ride her all the time it ranges from a 5yr old up so the majority of the time it is younger, smaller children,i jus keep her goin between the younger 1s riding her.N we have fun which is the main thing,& aslong as she is ok n the riders r.

It took me wha 5 weeks to brake mine and within 3 months she is jumping 70cm with no bother and she is jumpin 1m10 by the time she was 3 :)

Sure she handels your weight and height now, but she'll feel it when she gets older. You have to think ahead with horses.
