@TheArtress Thanks! I appreciate the comment. :) I am still painting. I have been working in different media lately, but I expect to paint again very soon. I actually finally got around to replying because I just put this image up for sale as a print at RedBubble. There's a limited selection of paintings and sketches right now, but more will be coming soon.
This is very impressive. Those neutral tones work so well together. I was reading a forum about your work on artfortune and it brought me here. Keep it up!
Jeff- I just found some of your work on the internet since starting to pick up my paintbrushes again (after 10 years of being out of art school)... i really love your style- it reminds me of futuristic graffiti.
...Love this. I have a question. I've been working in acrylics for awhile, and was just given three sets of the Radiant Concentrated Watercolors. Do you just let a couple of drops dry on a well palette and use it from there, or do you get rid of what you used after you're done painting? I'm wondering if it's dried in the well, will just rewetting it make the pigment mix back in. Thanks!
Thanks for your comment. To answer your question: Yes, you can re-wet the paint later and it will be perfectly fine. I highly recommend covering your palette with a sheet of paper or plastic wrap to keep dust from gathering in your wells. When you're ready to paint again, you can either drop a couple drops into each well or just wet your brush and wipe it across the dried paint. Both work fine.
this is absolutely amazing!!!!! much respect with the talent of using watercolor! I can draw but wow! watercolor seems to be one of the hardest mediums for me
Thanks for the comment. If you can draw, it just takes time and practice to get the hang of watercolor. Try experimenting with different types of paints, brushes and using different amounts of water on your brush. Good luck.
I've been using watercolors for maybe 3-4 years total, the majority of my learning in High School. I picked it back up later to try something different with the abstract subject matter. Overall, I've been a painter/artist in other mediums for much longer.
Thanks. Although I did take the time to photograph myself while painting, I didn't take the time to record my hours. :) If I had to guess, I'd say between 20 and 35 hours total. Somewhere in that range.
I thought for sure I commented on this vid alreay--sorry. I really enjoyed this! I love how it looks like it paints itself. Until I saw your video, I never knew watercolors could be so brilliant!
