Ohio is STILL not a state because the "legislation" to give them statehood was MADE BY AN OHIO CONGRESSMAN (George Bender)! @Psy0psAgent I prefer not to scrap it. But when people hear that proposal, they would normally say no, we need the Constitution. Then you could actually show them their hypocrisy, in wanting to keep the document (or oath) but allowing the negligence (and destruction) of it by politicians.

I could have tried telling them that I wasn't obligated to pay my taxes... but I think that I would have quickly discovered that no matter what anybody tries to tell you, we are all obligated to pay them. Do we agree with them? That all depends on who you ask; but the obligation of the taxpayer to the IRS is hard to contest. Personally, I think a fairly high, flat-rate universal commercial tax should replace and abolish income and property tax, but that's just me.

That's WHY we have SO MANY OTHER TAXES like property, death, luxury, GAS ($0.42/gallon)..etc to "run government." INCOME TAXES ARE UNNECESSARY costs that we are subjected to. The Declaration of Independence was written for the people and all it does is define common law rights, not grant them. The CONstitution is all fine and good, however the citizens are not a party to it. The U.S. is a foreign corporation and If "We the people" SUBJECT ourselves to the jurisdiction of the U.S. (14th Amendment), then we have made ourselves SUBJECTS (Slaves) to that Corporation and therefore are required to file a tax return because we have no 5th amendment rights but rather civil rights (granted privileges). A national (state Citizen) is a party to the CONstitution and has ALL rights.
