they dont always preplan fights but there are alot of players that will tell another player that is the other teams enforcer that they want to fight as they come out on a line change or at a face off. sometimes to gain momentum and control the crowd and other times shit just happens and you need a guy that basically just scraps for a living to make sure it gets dealt with.

some players make a name for themselves not by stats but by kicking ass in the NHL. thats why its fucking sick.
