whats stupid about you is that feeding your eel to many life fish will cause liver disease and kill your eel.. I feed my snowflake eel krill, fish have a lot of fatty tissue and little nutrition eels need thats why they need to eat so many fish.
Whiners!! If a animal ever attacks me in the wild like a bear or coyote etc. I hope I have a camera so I can ask it to be more civil and join me at I hop, hell id even pay for Chillies for its courtesty of respecting my life on camera.

I have read that eels are forever climbing out of the tank. PS it is cruel to feed on live animal to another- and to film it as a spectacle for entertainment purposes reflects on the type of person you are.
It depends on the eel and how "comfortable" it is in the tank. If it has been in the tank for a long time and can easily feed he won't worry about going anywhere. when you first put it in there it will search and explore and find ways out. but after a while he will stop trying, unless you add something that might disrupt him or his food
Cruel to feed one animal to another. Ever check the evolutionary line of humans? One of the few reasons we developed into what we are is due to eating...guess what? OTHER ANIMALS. And you know, the living kind of animals too!
And plus, some eels will refuse dead prey. Go do your research!
How do you think wild animals catch prey? And what about pork chops and hamburgers and chicken wings, that is on most peoples (and probably your) plate every evening? Get a grip on yourself. Animals eating animals is called nature.
@Caro2471 animals eating other animals is nature when its done in nature......not in captivity...they feed captive animals parts of meat from an animal...like feeding peices of meat to a lion or crocodile in the zoo...they dont give a lion a live gazzelle to eat do they? shit moron!
@mikethebike7 dude its called nature eels need meat it will refuse to eat plants so either way one life would have to end this guy im pretty sure nows how to take care of his beautiful eeland he is just video taping it is not for entertainment purpose
What a lovely patterned Eel, did you need to order him online? pet shops around here only have him in one of those 'the fish in this tank are not for sale' tanks
There is NO HARM in feeding your marine predators gold fish. Period. What is harmful is ONLY feeding goldfish. Marine predators require a balanced diet that can only be achieved by feeding a range of foods, whitebait, squid, octopus, shelled mussels, crabs etc. A diet comprised of only goldfish would be kind of like only eating cheeseburgers. Carry on feeding your eel goldfish and don't listen to these haters, just ensure that you feed a complete diet to your predators.
You shouldn't feed freshwater fish to saltwater eels/fish. Once in a while(Like once or twice a year is probably ok), but you really shouldn't. Get some frozen silversides or shrimp to feed your eel.
@earthling1984 that is true it can hurt there livers and kidneys but how long did it take him to get that big bc i have 2 in my 220 gallon so i wanted to know how long it took thanks.
Very nice. I always thought they hunted by their nose and not sight because its so bad. But your eel seems to have good eyesight. My snowflake, couldn't see a goldfish even if it had neon strobe light attached. I fed mine with frosen shrimps. Cool to see the frenzy.
You two are both... stupid one for making a comment to start up a fight.. the other for leaving a fish in a tank knowing that his eel would eat it serves you right though if that was not intended then now you know better hopefully.
Hey love the eel it is so amazing. I am about to get an eel and I love the eels house in the video, the big black tube thing. Where did you get that at I would love to get it. Thanks and again love the eel!

Sorry to burst your bubble but thats a snowflake moray eel.. not a snowflake eel..not even sure if there are snowflake eels..plus you shouldn't put small fish in with it.. it can eat an octopus...
well if you want to be stupid... It's not a snowflake moray eel it's a Echidna nebulosa. It's not a coke it's a Coca-cola Classic. It's not a chevy it's a General Motors Company produced Chevrolet. Do you see what you're doing to try and look intelligent? It's a youtube video not a documentary.

Soon i will be adding 2 tomato/ maroon clownfish and a anemone for them. After i will be getting a snowflake eel and after that a dwalrf lionfish, not sure which kind yet!
looking at your video it's hard to give much advice. Tell me how big is your tank and what filtration do you have? It looks like your tank hasn't been established very long this and/or temperature fluctuations may have caused your ich outburst. message me and I'll get back to you.
My tank is 30 gallons, 130 litres. Its filtration is nothing special, just the one you get with the tank, its a boyu tl 550. The heater has been upgraded to another better one as the old one broke.
The tank has been set up for 3 months now. I believe i might now know how there came to be an ich outbreak.
2 days before my powder blue tang first got the white spot/ich my brother had turned on the lights and when he turned them off again he had accidently turn off the filtration and heating, lol. The temperature went down to about 21-22 degrees and there was now current flow for about 5 hours, i think this is how the white spot came to be. The wierd thing is, how my clownfish died as they were fine the night before and when i got up they were still alive but there breathing pattern was not right.
They also had this weird white flossey stuff around them, stuff like what corals emit when under stress. I don't know if they swam into that stuff and its poisnous but they both died about 10 minutes later.
I have decided that i am going to add a snowflake eel and it will be the next fish i add, but i'm going to wait a couple of weeks. The ich seems to have gone now and my new fish that i got a day after my clownfish died is doing well and the rest of the fish have not died yet.
I would say add fish a little slower. I takes a while for everything in your tank to adjust to changes like new fish. also if you want to keep a snowflake eel and fish the fish should be small not something the size of a powder blue.
But loads of people on youtube, the internet and the local fish shop says it will be alright and it will be able to live in there for its whole life. Apparently putting larger speices of fish into a little too small aquarium than the requried size needed the fish will not grow to its full potiently size and so by this happening in my tank with my snowflake eel, apparently it should be fine in there
@nigaplzitzron Any fish will live at least a few minutes in it, it aint toxic. I think they will die when their kidneys malfunction from the extra salt. By the way, awesome eel!
The feeding of freshwater feeder fish (goldfish, rosy reds, etc) will likely cause liver disease if it is fed to the eel. Therefore, such feeding should be avoided.
i'm thinking of getting rid of the common clownfish and getting 2 golden striped maroon clownfish, i'm also thinking of getting rid of my striped damselfish for a yellow or regal tang. could that work with a snnowflake eel?
the last fish it ate was a killer, ive gt a snowflake eel in 420l tank with plenty of rock work with holes everywhere, it's eaten 1 of my large hermit crabs already since i got it.
i'm thinking of getting a snowflake eel, could it live with 2 cleaner shrimp, powder blue tang and a couple of common clownfish. The clownfish are only about 1-1 1/2 inches long, very small.
go and check out my video its got everything in it!
if ur a begginger i would not get a eel. and i if u want more then just the eel in the tank u wold have to upgrade to atleast a 100 gallon tank so u can make it a preitory tank.
i can help u thought if u have any onther questions iv had a 100 gallon tank for a few years now and im just setting up a 30 gallon tank and making vids on it
I sense a disturbance in the... *sniff... fish... *sniff.. struggle... LUNGE!!!

snowflake eels eat any types of fish that it can fit in its mouth, so you need to put large speices of fish in the tank, like a powder blue tang.
MrTomster93 1 year ago
@MrTomster93 but your tank is too small for a fish that size.
trxrevo 1 year ago
But loads of people on youtube, the internet and the local fish shop says it will be alright and it will be able to live in there for its whole life. Apparently putting larger speices of fish into a little too small aquarium than the requried size needed the fish will not grow to its full potiently size and so by this happening in my tank with my snowflake eel, apparently it should be fine in there

@trxrevo goldfish can stay alive in salt water?
nigaplzitzron 1 year ago
@nigaplzitzron Any fish will live at least a few minutes in it, it aint toxic. I think they will die when their kidneys malfunction from the extra salt. By the way, awesome eel!

The feeding of freshwater feeder fish (goldfish, rosy reds, etc) will likely cause liver disease if it is fed to the eel. Therefore, such feeding should be avoided.

@llajuarroba Unless it is a freshwater eel,

i'm thinking of getting rid of the common clownfish and getting 2 golden striped maroon clownfish, i'm also thinking of getting rid of my striped damselfish for a yellow or regal tang. could that work with a snnowflake eel?
MrTomster93 2 years ago
the last fish it ate was a killer, ive gt a snowflake eel in 420l tank with plenty of rock work with holes everywhere, it's eaten 1 of my large hermit crabs already since i got it.

no
i would say the website was minumum.
if i had a eel i would put it in between 100 -150 so u could have other animals in the tank.
if u want just an eel ( u wont see him much) i would put him in a 50 gallon tank

i'm thinking of getting a snowflake eel, could it live with 2 cleaner shrimp, powder blue tang and a couple of common clownfish. The clownfish are only about 1-1 1/2 inches long, very small.

Benno828282 2 years ago
Yeah, to die. Doesn't really matter does it?
NexusBeing 2 years ago
Guess not, but as some others have mentioned, freshwater fish are not good for saltwater creatures, so i wouldn't feed very often if at all.
