but in real life, the scarry people.

    running away by a fight.

  • @jooproos what language was that in

  • I can't wait to give my snowflake some neon gobies. It'll have to compete with my marine betta first though. Good video!

  • i literaly pissed myself laughing when it said brutus was eaten 2 weeks after filming R.I.P lol

  • Beautiful creature.

  • It's soooooo adorable ohmygosh. My heart melted. Does it have a name??

  • nice eel.... i sent a big one at Vi.. PETS

  • @mikethebike7

It depends on the eel and how "comfortable" it is in the tank. If it has been in the tank for a long time and can easily feed he won't worry about going anywhere. when you first put it in there it will search and explore and find ways out. but after a while he will stop trying, unless you add something that might disrupt him or his food

  • @mikethebike7

Cruel to feed one animal to another. Ever check the evolutionary line of humans? One of the few reasons we developed into what we are is due to eating...guess what? OTHER ANIMALS. And you know, the living kind of animals too!

And plus, some eels will refuse dead prey. Go do your research!

  • @ShadowToxin angry troll. angry troll.

    get back under your bridge.

  • @mikethebike7

How do you think wild animals catch prey? And what about pork chops and hamburgers and chicken wings, that is on most peoples (and probably your) plate every evening? Get a grip on yourself. Animals eating animals is called nature.

  • @Caro2471 Not if it takes place in a human built tank~

I don't mean to object this shit or wa...just saying it's not nature.

  • @Caro2471 animals eating other animals is nature when its done in nature......not in captivity...they feed captive animals parts of meat from an animal...like feeding peices of meat to a lion or crocodile in the zoo...they dont give a lion a live gazzelle to eat do they? shit moron!

  • @JKDspirit

Since when is it neccesary to insult people? It's just my opinion, you don't have to get all worked up about it. Very mature...

  • @Caro2471 I am sorry...i love you...

  • @mikethebike7 dude its called nature eels need meat it will refuse to eat plants so either way one life would have to end this guy im pretty sure nows how to take care of his beautiful eeland he is just video taping it is not for entertainment purpose

  • What a lovely patterned Eel, did you need to order him online? pet shops around here only have him in one of those 'the fish in this tank are not for sale' tanks

  • he looks like he has a pleasant personality

  • HEY WHAT SIZE IS YOUR TANK? IM GETTING ONE SO I JUST WANT TO KNOW. AWESOME EEL BTW! THANKS!

  • well he looks happy ;)

  • There is NO HARM in feeding your marine predators gold fish. Period. What is harmful is ONLY feeding goldfish. Marine predators require a balanced diet that can only be achieved by feeding a range of foods, whitebait, squid, octopus, shelled mussels, crabs etc. A diet comprised of only goldfish would be kind of like only eating cheeseburgers. Carry on feeding your eel goldfish and don't listen to these haters, just ensure that you feed a complete diet to your predators.

  • that eels a ninja

  • What size tank do you have?

  • fuckin badass video

  • silversides much??

  • I hate eels!

  • how long will goldfish live in saltwater

  • Clean tank

  • You shouldn't feed freshwater fish to saltwater eels/fish. Once in a while(Like once or twice a year is probably ok), but you really shouldn't. Get some frozen silversides or shrimp to feed your eel.

  • @earthling1984 that is true it can hurt there livers and kidneys but how long did it take him to get that big bc i have 2 in my 220 gallon so i wanted to know how long it took thanks.

  • sicko....dangle ur knob in next tme

  • nice eel. I've only kept freshwater eels but my next tank will be a marine with one of those guys.

  • Bell'esemplare di echidna. fantastic.

  • R.I.P Brutis

  • The eel took the first fish into the pipe for some butt secks. Second fish felt horny and swam into the pipe.

  • @TheBrandonGames You're an idiot.

  • How big i the eel? I have a snowflake eel about..12 inch.

  • can snowflake eels live in salt and freshwater??

  • @danielll342 no.

  • If I got one would a 20 gallon tank work? single species of course

  • Very nice. I always thought they hunted by their nose and not sight because its so bad. But your eel seems to have good eyesight. My snowflake, couldn't see a goldfish even if it had neon strobe light attached. I fed mine with frosen shrimps. Cool to see the frenzy.

  • bratus survived 2 weeks lol

  • For something with Snowflake in it's name, that things a beast!

  • snowflake eel? Or killer sock puppet!

  • nice how much do they sell for?

  • did you make the cave yourself or did you buy it somewhere? if you did make it what did you put on it to make it look like that?

  • the fish at 0:22 was like "Don't eat Fred!!!"

  • cruel

  • that is so cool

  • yeah u fucking asshole!!! hahaha not kidding though

  • not good to feed an eel goldfish

  • You two are both... stupid one for making a comment to start up a fight.. the other for leaving a fish in a tank knowing that his eel would eat it serves you right though if that was not intended then now you know better hopefully.

  • how big is that tank

  • Hey love the eel it is so amazing. I am about to get an eel and I love the eels house in the video, the big black tube thing. Where did you get that at I would love to get it. Thanks and again love the eel!

  • i want to get a 50 gallon tank with a snowflake eel and watch it eat dead fish and to have one and take care of it

  • noooooooo not brutus!!!!

so is tthe eel viving alone in the tank now?

  • amazing video .. are there any freshwater eels that are like this one ??? by that i mean hide and then attack . .most freshwater eels that i've seen just swim around

  • after the first one was eaten the others were like wo.. where did buck go???

  • i like to eat eels. there good

  • such a lazy thing.,

  • Beautiful eel. :] I wasn't expecting so much action!

When I have some years under my belt at fishkeeping my goal is to successfully keep a happy, healthy snowflake. ;]

  • i love your eel ^^ he seems really cute :P

  • Lol way to put him in his place. "snowflake moray eel"

I don't want to sound like one of these smartass fish police but isn't it not recommended to feed saltwater predators freshwater prey?

  • This is an just a great setup for this eel. Single species home. Great care went into this design and the owner should be commended on his effort. This from a lifelong hobbiest.

  • rofl he looks like a hand with a sock on it

  • does anyone know if snowflake eels and bamboo sharks can be housed together?

  • HAHAHA. I laughed so hard at burton was eaten. Is your tank too small? What happened?

  • owned

  • owned

  • 2 . 5 foot eel for sale ! "Snowflake eel" to big for my 25 gal. its got to go. "3/25/10" 120 $ CA Los Angeles city of torrance.

  • what is the most aggresive fish that i could afford ($20-$30 a fish). i was thinking a cichlid like a jack dempsey or a red devil. rite now i have a 39 gallon tank with guppies in it and the guppies r boring lol. check out my video for more info. please respond

  • The most aggressive fish are the Piranhas, they'll eat live meat and has razer sharp teeth and they ate my 6 inch lobster

  • @Bulletpierce ha a wolf cichlid would destroy a piranha

  • @jpnasty well ur gonna have to present me a video of a cichlid killing a piranha to prove it, Elongatus piranha at its big size is deadly

  • Now THAT, is a bad ass tank...

  • sweet looking animal im getting oun and a 50 gal tank

  • thats great dude lol

  • Comment removed

  • Snowflakes aren't supposed to eat goldfish I thought, increases the chances for liver disease...

  • gold fish are like the mcdonalds of the fish world. but one or two every now and then is good for their predatory instinct

  • ya but they dont live as long a life

  • well if you want to be stupid... It's not a snowflake moray eel it's a Echidna nebulosa. It's not a coke it's a Coca-cola Classic. It's not a chevy it's a General Motors Company produced Chevrolet. Do you see what you're doing to try and look intelligent? It's a youtube video not a documentary.

  • HAHAHA. Owned. I was thinking the same thing. "It's not a snowflake eel. It's a snowflake moray eel" that is probably one of the dumbest comments I have seen to date on youtube.

  • @trxrevo youve been served

  • @trxrevo May I ask where you bought this eel?

  • @trxrevo Dude you owned him. = )

  • @trxrevo lol

  • @trxrevo

@namesusedup1 told owned raped murdered he needs to get facts lol

  • @trxrevo You totally owned that prick NamesUsedUp1. I don't understand why people leave know it all comments like that. You completely ripped his ass! Man that was a awesome response! It seems like every other comment on an aquarium video is " Its not that its this" or "you should do it this way instead your cruel to your fish" Your my youtube hero!

  • @trxrevo well said :-)

  • @trxrevo

    HAHAHAHAA

  • @NamesUsedUp1 buddy you got SCHOOOLLLED

  • @MangoBastard hahahahahaahha it's horrible but funny hahahahaha

  • @NamesUsedUp1 haha dumbass

  • @NamesUsedUp1 shut up ok he can call it whatever he wants and unlike you actually has the money to watch and own one of these eels all you can do is read about them.

  • @NamesUsedUp1 Just so you know, there called FEEDER goldfish!!

  • awsome eel.poor borris

  • i am now saving up for a 60 gallon tank, the red sea max 250!

  • your tank is plenty big my friend has a 30 gallon with a powder blue snowflake and a tomato clown and they all swim happily

  • to mr. tomster try to stay away from gold band maroon clowns unless you dont have smaller fish, they can be very territorial and either stress or kill smaller fish than it

  • kk thanx, i going to be getting a larger speice of clownfish, probs not the maroon but maybe something the isze of a tomato clownfish.

  • beautiful snowflake eel, can someone please tell me how i am to know if the snowflake eel at the fish store is healthy or if it is poorly

  • About 2 weeks back now my powder blue tang and 2 clownfish died of white spot disease. Its all better now and i've gained another coral and a six line wrasse/ pyjama wrasse. Soon i will be adding 2 tomato/ maroon clownfish and a anemone for them. After i will be getting a snowflake eel and after that a dwalrf lionfish, not sure which kind yet!

  • looking at your video it's hard to give much advice. Tell me how big is your tank and what filtration do you have? It looks like your tank hasn't been established very long this and/or temperature fluctuations may have caused your ich outburst. message me and I'll get back to you.

  • My tank is 30 gallons, 130 litres. Its filtration is nothing special, just the one you get with the tank, its a boyu tl 550. The heater has been upgraded to another better one as the old one broke.

The tank has been set up for 3 months now. I believe i might now know how there came to be an ich outbreak.

  • 2 days before my powder blue tang first got the white spot/ich my brother had turned on the lights and when he turned them off again he had accidently turn off the filtration and heating, lol. The temperature went down to about 21-22 degrees and there was now current flow for about 5 hours, i think this is how the white spot came to be. The wierd thing is, how my clownfish died as they were fine the night before and when i got up they were still alive but there breathing pattern was not right.

  • They also had this weird white flossey stuff around them, stuff like what corals emit when under stress. I don't know if they swam into that stuff and its poisnous but they both died about 10 minutes later.

  • I have decided that i am going to add a snowflake eel and it will be the next fish i add, but i'm going to wait a couple of weeks. The ich seems to have gone now and my new fish that i got a day after my clownfish died is doing well and the rest of the fish have not died yet.

  • I would say add fish a little slower. I takes a while for everything in your tank to adjust to changes like new fish. also if you want to keep a snowflake eel and fish the fish should be small not something the size of a powder blue.

  • Comment removed

  • snowflake eels eat any types of fish that it can fit in its mouth, so you need to put large speices of fish in the tank, like a powder blue tang.

  • @MrTomster93 but your tank is too small for a fish that size.

  • But loads of people on youtube, the internet and the local fish shop says it will be alright and it will be able to live in there for its whole life. Apparently putting larger speices of fish into a little too small aquarium than the requried size needed the fish will not grow to its full potiently size and so by this happening in my tank with my snowflake eel, apparently it should be fine in there

  • @trxrevo maybe u could get some oscar's?

  • @MrTomster93 i have a 16 inch long and about 5 inches wide and i keep it with a 1.5 inch domino damsel fish its a snowflake moray eel

  • @trxrevo goldfish can stay alive in salt water?

  • @nigaplzitzron Any fish will live at least a few minutes in it, it aint toxic. I think they will die when their kidneys malfunction from the extra salt. By the way, awesome eel!

  • The feeding of freshwater feeder fish (goldfish, rosy reds, etc) will likely cause liver disease if it is fed to the eel. Therefore, such feeding should be avoided.

  • @llajuarroba Unless it is a freshwater eel,

  • i'm thinking of getting rid of the common clownfish and getting 2 golden striped maroon clownfish, i'm also thinking of getting rid of my striped damselfish for a yellow or regal tang. could that work with a snnowflake eel?

  • the last fish it ate was a killer, ive gt a snowflake eel in 420l tank with plenty of rock work with holes everywhere, it's eaten 1 of my large hermit crabs already since i got it.

  • no

i would say the website was minumum.

if i had a eel i would put it in between 100 -150 so u could have other animals in the tank.

if u want just an eel ( u wont see him much) i would put him in a 50 gallon tank

  • i'm thinking of getting a snowflake eel, could it live with 2 cleaner shrimp, powder blue tang and a couple of common clownfish. The clownfish are only about 1-1 1/2 inches long, very small.

go and check out my video its got everything in it!

  • nooooooooo

if ur a begginger i would not get a eel. and i if u want more then just the eel in the tank u wold have to upgrade to atleast a 100 gallon tank so u can make it a preitory tank.

i can help u thought if u have any onther questions iv had a 100 gallon tank for a few years now and im just setting up a 30 gallon tank and making vids on it

so come over to my channel

  • NO way!

    Cleaner shrimp - DEAD

    Clowns - DEAD

    Tang- should be fine.

  • What would you normally feed one besides feeder fish? How much/often do they eat?

  • not a smart idea feeding freshwater fish!! If u like ur moray id start giving him chromis instead

  • A GOOD IDEA.

  • So your putting gold fish in saltwater?

  • Yeah, to die. Doesn't really matter does it?

  • Guess not, but as some others have mentioned, freshwater fish are not good for saltwater creatures, so i wouldn't feed very often if at all.

  • Hhhh

  • how did he die?

    does he have any sick

  • how much was your eel?????

  • what sand is this? it looks really cool

  • It's caribbean sea aragonite 1-2mm

  • how many gallons is that tank?
