Def Leppard continues to prove that music built in the 80's can evolve and survive - not completely die like most of the hair metal of the day. Since Slang came out they've continued to be Def Leppard....and show they won't compromise to sell albums.
Well their three most successful albums came about when they came to America so I am sorry....but I am gonna have to disagree with you. They showed up in America in 1980.
ick...I didn't care for it. I never understood why DL didn't do Crossroads with Tim instead, I think it would have been better, especially after doing this song.
Why? Because they can. If Def Leppard wants to add a country twang to their rock then that is their right. And from the look of things you're in the extreme minority feeling disappointed with this one.
i dont really see why people diss tim McGraw, he gave it his all, and its good, he's got a rock voice for it, and it sounds good, And without him, there wouldn't be this song. He's good, and mixing with Def Leppard is awesome! Rock on, Def Leppard and Tim McGraw!

Tim McGraw sucks donkey cock, thats for sure. But Def Leppard's sheer past awesomeness cancels this one horrible blunder. Unfortunately, they don't get any more shots.
Is Rick Allen not using the special drum set that he used to use? If not, that's great that he's adjusted so well that he can play a conventional drum set now.
Kudos to Def Leppard for continuing with what they have always been good at. The collaboration with Tim McGraw was a good way for them, as well as Tim McGraw, to widen their audience appeal. This sounds like what Def Leppard not anyone else. Tim Mcgraw brought alot more then song writing to the table. His vocals may not surpass Joe Elliotts. However, they did well together.
I agree totally with you. When I heard that they were collaberating on this song I thought it was a strange combo. Tim really does add to the appeal of this song and compliments Joe's voice quite well.
i saw this band along with poison and cheap trick, they are now my music idols. the show was at the verizon wireless virginia beach amphitheater, on July 11,2009. it was a spectacular show, and the addition of the kickass lighting, cgi, and videos and effects just enhanced the experience. and to all of you who say def leppard, poison, or cheap trick SUCKS, you need to F.O.D., man. they are the most kickass selection of music EVER!!!

I don't have anything against McGraw, but other than some country appeal, I don't think he brought anything to the table here, he's just an add-on, Def Leppard couldn't have just done this without him, it would actually have been better....but oh well...
Well that's fair enough. But if Tim was't involved on the collaboration with Def Lepard, the song wouldn't have been wrote. Considering they wrote it together. So in this case, you said it would have been better without Tim - Meaning no song is better than a daring collaboration.

no. WTF. has it gotten this bad that good days band like LEP have to share things with country people who like to think theyre somehow rock&roll.?..sppf. def should have released this song as a single all done themselfs. it would have been better than any piece theyre wrote in the last 10 years. the new album sucked and only had one good song on it that even sounded like what put Def on the map. it was "Hallucinate" wtf is mutt and steve?. i still have hysteria thank goodness. rant over.

All you haters that are saying Tim was a bad choice have no idea what you're talking about. Tim is one of country music's leading men. They couldn't have picked a better choice. HE'S AMAZING!
Hell yeah!!! I totally agree with you! Tim Mcgraw was a bad choice. I mean they shouldn't have paired up with country anyway, but they could've picked someone way better. Like Mr. Trace Adkins. That I would have liked to see.
In response to others who have commented on this band's recent performances....last year I saw them for the 14th time and I have to say this last time was the best. They were in top form, esp for just getting over being sick. I think they got better with age. Probably learned some lessons.

All you haters that are saying Tim was a bad choice have no idea what you're talking about. Tim is one of country music's leading men. They couldn't have picked a better choice. HE'S AMAZING!

Opps----my bad. McGraw is a friend of Rick Allen's brother, not Savs. Rick's bro is McGraw's manager.

Hell yeah!!! I totally agree with you! Tim Mcgraw was a bad choice. I mean they shouldn't have paired up with country anyway, but they could've picked someone way better. Like Mr. Trace Adkins. That I would have liked to see.

I heard Tim McGraw is a friend of Sav's brother. I hate country music myself but McGraw is decent in his own element.
It's cool DL crosses music lines once in awhile....just makes more fans when ppl discover just how magnificent they are!

Is it me or Def Leppard has this similiar beat to their songs? A Lepp thing? Awesome band!

I dig this. Def Leppard was always one of my favorites. Tim McGraw fits in perfectly for this song. Well done guys!

In response to others who have commented on this band's recent performances....last year I saw them for the 14th time and I have to say this last time was the best. They were in top form, esp for just getting over being sick. I think they got better with age. Probably learned some lessons.
