If you are not going to follow statistics then surely Senna is not the only one you should consider the best. What about Fangio, Clark, Stewart, Prost and many others I probably don't even know. Why would Senna be better then them if statistics are bullshit? Statistics are not 100% accurate but 7 titles of which 5 consecutive and 91 wins are not to be argued with. And if Senna would have lived it wouldnt matter much. He would have retired before 2000.

You said it. Schumacher is big but will never be the greatest. Schumi was just lucky to have an very reliable and fastest car on the track. When someone had a better car than him he didn't win. Senna did. 65 poles in 162 starts speaks clearly about how much he could get out of the car. Schumi is of course 68 poles of 250 starts. Very good also but it is far from Senna class.

So Schumi doesnt need a pole to win a race like senna, so he can overtake during the race. So why does schumi is far from sennas class. Can you explain that?

However, Schumacher, due to extreme levels of fitness and determination, could race faster than any of the others over a longer sustained period. Schumii did make some "mistakes" in his career, however, he himself would say now, that due to experience over the years, that Schumacher is now a better driver than before :) Msc x

The Benetton's engine was clearly underpowered, a Ford V8 was no match to McLaren's Honda V12 but still Michael managed to keep Senna behind him. Don't forget that too!

It was not a bad car, but it had many problems because it was still not fully developed.. That was the main reason, there were 7 retirements by Senna and still i was only 3 points behind Schumacher, although Schumacher had a probably slower car, it was more reliable and he could finish his races.Senna achieved 3 wins, Schumacher only 1.

@JONICRACHATLEITAO 1995 he won although having an inferior car, 2000 he had, at best, a car that was equal to the McLarens in terms of speed. From 2001-2004 he won 4 more Championships with having the best car on the grid (not in 2003 though), so finally he got rewarded for going to a team that hasn't won titles for years, and finally he got rewarded for struggling with the crap Ferrari delivered for him in the first years. Justice, that's how I would call his domination-years.
