Some people comment occasionally on the choice of music for the dances being kind of odd. I think this was a good example because, as Carrie Ann said, the lack of insturmentation probably made it difficult to choreograph. But I think that´s part of the challenge for the pros: to choreograph a dance that not only makes their partners look good but also fits the music. I think this particular dance deserved a 30.
In season 8, this dance was flat out my favourite. She deserved to win, scores don't mean shit! Gilles and Cheryl may have had the better scores, but I can tell you right now that they didnt work NEAR as hard as these 2 did!

@LotusElise2002 Well let's see...Shawn won, Kristi won, and Mel B got 2nd place. Sabrina got 6th place and she got the earliest perfect score for her Paso Doble (the dance that was picked). I thought the choice was obvious.

Coming from a competitive ballroom dancer,
Shawn's frame is a little weak and frail looking here but it was really really good otherwise =D
The flamenco-ish solo in the beginning was great too

This probably would've been her 59/60 week. If she hadn't broken the hold in the Quickstep, she would've gotten the 30 and a 29 for the Paso.
