  • Very nice ! Great song . Great sound ...

  • I love you Robert. I never had a brother by blood, but musically, you've surely been one of them.

  • amazing playing and great guitar !

  • GRANDE!!!

  • That's a good guitar player. I wish I could play that well.

  • How does he do that? His hand is just so smooth and yet he strums it and they all come out so clear? Im in awe.

  • Sweet as always, Robert. Nice luthier work on Bob Moore's bass too. Thank you. A true artisian.

  • Robert won the first annual Winfield Fingerstyle Championship. He is an artist that can really do it all

  • playing with Robert is like being in heaven, doesn't

matter if he's playing fiddle, mandolin, or guitar (as

he does on my album "All Strung Out" on the K2B2

label), piano, banjo, bass, or piano, it is a moving

musical experience. i've played with quite a few, but

Robert Bowlin is the smoothest flatpicker of 'em all

  • this guy is great, I have had the pleasure of seeing him and wil maring, several times, anytime they get close to our area we go,

  • what a fantastic guitarist ! his compositions are beautiful (instant classics) and his playing with a pick is unique ! I bought a new guitar after watching this video and ordered his CD. Robert made a convert out of me. Bravo !

  • great playing and what a tone out of the larson

  • The guitar is sooo good.

BUT Robert makes it sing this way!

Hope he gives us the TAB book of his new cd someday

  • looks like a 1930's to me!

  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • Its a Larson guitar from the '30's.

  • from the 30's...surely not. the co. was started in 1998..

  • Maybe you are thinking about a different company... I am talking about Larson guitars made in chicago under the names of Stahl, Euphonon, Prairie State, and Mauer guitars. They are some of the most beautiful sounding guitars I have heard. Sparkley. Warm.

  • keep up the good work

  • What is the tuning please? is it EAC#F#GBE?

  • It's just a drop D tuning- standard except the low E is lowered to a D.

  • Great tune - Even better flatpicking.

  • Really nice playin .

    Peter.

  • What a lovely tune, nice passages between phrases and a wonderfully relaxed playing style. Congratulations on a beautiful piece and a wonderful presentation.

  • +1

I saw Robert play fiddle with the Osbournes, he is one of the very best!

  • excellent

  • Robert is from my home town in Arkansas. Great Musician!! Wish i was half as good when I play bluegrass

  • How can he flat pick so flawlessly? Some passages almost sound like classical guitar finger picking. The Sinti Gypsies (Reinhardt, Bireli, Rosenberg) are all masters of flat picking, but I think that they too would find this challenging.

  • this is beautiful... and excellent flatpicking

  • Amazing....!!! Where can I get the tab for this song?

  • Beautiful.

  • What a talent. I feel blessed that God gave me hearing, and that he gave us musicians like Robert.

  • hey Robert nice work, had the pleasure of seeing you and Wil Maring up close and personal this past summer in staunton va.I was really happy to find that you and Wil were so friendly and took time to connect with me and my friends,I also attended one of your seminars in fredricksburg va back in october, you handled that like a pro.despite a very unprofessional environment.

  • Wow, I didn't know a person could play like that with a pick. What beautiful arrangements. Nice shirt too.

  • Robert, beautiful playing, my friend. And what a fine composition this is. I have probably listened to it 10 times already. Keep up the great work. Do you by chance produce any instructional materials or recommend any particular guitar methods?

  • 20 times here. Great listening. It's perfect music for film. Can I have the Publishing?

  • He had two old Martin's. They are both

    awesome sounding guitars however,

one is a little 'brighter' whereas the other is just a tad more mellow. My guess would be that this is the brighter of the two. I wouldn't know a Martin from a Sears Bradley Kincade model guitar

had Mr. Bowlin not showed me his guitars

"back when." He may have even changed guitars since then. Got an Endorsement?

His own Robert Bowlin model. Wouldn't that be nice? He's a superb musician.

  • the guitar is a Larson guitar from the early 40's (or maybe late thirties). They have a sparkley tone- not quite as bassy as a dreadnought. He's the only guy I know that plays these. They're kinda rare.

Yeah he'd like an endorsement, but those Larson brothers are playin' in the Angel Band. Any other guitar makers out there need an endorsee?

  • Awsome sounding guitar. Anybody know what make it is?

  • Super.Bravo.

  • Hey Robert

You are great.. Nice guitar too..

  • No, I didnt mean he WAS a virgin I said he LOOKED like the actor that played in the movie! geez

  • @GoldFish2434 .. I was thinking .. " Damn that Steve Carell can pick a mean flat top !!! " .. all kidding aside .. this guy's got skills .. SERIOUS SKILLS !!!

  • Outstanding.

  • Robert is a great guy.

  • I've seen his shapely, blonde, ex-wife and feel it's safe to assume, he's not a virgin. He's also an awesome fiddler and one heck of a fine Luthier.

Haven't seen him around in while. He sure can pick.

  • great!!

  • Is this the actor from the 40 year oold virgin? great picker.

  • Great
