This is real, what HTC fast boot does is turn of the android interface. It leaves the hardware running but nothing happens to it! I have this on my phone!!

Is it truly in a hibernation state? If you look at the MyTouch 4G's unboxing from PhoneDog, when they turn it on straight from the box.. it takes like 2 seconds.

Hmm, I don't shutdown my phone too often, but it's a good thing whether it was in some sort of hibernation or not. I'd buy this device if I didn't have the iPhone 4... So, the Desire Z is unlucky...

CHEAP TRICK. This is "HTC FAST BOOT", which is basically some sort of hybernation whn the phone is powered off. A FULL reboot (cold restart) is accomplished only by removing the battery. Then, the phone takes aprox. ONE MINUTE to boot.

and look at 15 seconds, he shuts it off and reboots it
