  • Darmstädter Kennzeichen wuheey^^

  • So was this a shortcut to soccer practice?

  • TIP!! TIP!! TIP!!!

  • that was impressive i want one...

  • I'll do this with my prius :)

  • 0:46 close enough ;)

  • i still prefer the Jeep for a off road vehicle :)

  • vrouwtje vindt het wel geil

  • I want to see other SUVs go over this exact same course.

  • Wir lieben das auto

  • ist ein geiles auto.. fahre den gleichen nur als 2,5.. will mir jetzt den 3,0 holen.. einfach nur brutal. lässt alle jeeps blass aussehen

  • Comment removed

  • wow! i'm very impressed...nice car

  • They do the job, trust me, one of the best SUV's out there !

  • Now I know which car I am going to buy soon!!

  • Diesel have very much more power than Petrol on slow RPM . Diesel its better , becouse its don,t dies by a bruttal acceleration , but petrol dies on slow RPM , but the single on petrol is , it have very much RPM than Diesel for speed , but its consume very much . My conclusion is , the Diesel is the best engine.

  • @ADY285 If your engine dies, your car is junk or the driver. My friends V10 diesel eats 13 liter/100 km and my V8 15-16. He pays double as much for tax and more for insurance and inspections. Two other guys that I know burnt up of the V10 twin turbos. Cost € 15.000 to fix.

  • @ADY285 while its true that revs and torque mean a lot for acceleration and breakaway power, a correct transmission will clutch and engage appropriately more or less no matter whats under the hood - thats how its meant to work. In other words, there are several levers to pull - transmission gearing, clutch / engage, throttle.. all of them need to combine to exceed the force required to move. try tieing a ford fiesta to a wall and hitting the gas in 1st gear - itll go up it. compare to pulley.

  • @ADY285 if a diesel gets on too low rpm for it, it dies much more easier than an petrol one

  • @ADY285 not power. TORQUE.

  • yeap ..that`s a touareg for sure !

  • nice trick !!!

  • wow, quite some crazy angles there. Was it ever in danger of falling over? It certainly looked like it!

  • it women ?

  • Very nice Touareg nice off road track

  • Amazing a stock luxury suv can perform this!

  • Diesel don't make much more power than Petrol, but they make ALOT more Torque

  • @desireless4ever True.

  • @desireless4ever I do need to say nice Touareg though

  • @desireless4ever what type of engine you have is irrelevant to how much power youre gonna get at the wheels. say a diesel has 250 ft/lbs of torque at the crank and a gas engine has 250 ft/lbs of torque at the crank and you put them in the same car, the gasser wont make more for whatever reason you think so. it all has to do with how efficient the manufacturer designed it the drivetrain

  • @chinchillawrangler You are absolutely right and I cannot spot any of my postings stating otherwise. At the end of the story, the power on the wheel proofs how powerful and efficient the whole engine and drivetrain really is.

  • @chinchillawrangler ... engine characteristic, torque curve, power band (range of RPM's that the engine makes usable power), drivetrain and so on...

  • @VolkswagOwned true, but still Id take the 4.2 v8 over the v10 diesel.

  • @Razor4ever I dunno man, a V10 Twin Turbo Diesel sounds pretty good to me ;)

  • @VolkswagOwned that's why gearboxes exist, petrols have different ratios so that the wheel torque is the same.

  • @VolkswagOwned Only TURBO-diesels.... NA diesels are useless.... Why not compare with turboed petrol engines ?

  • She's the perfect girlfriend! :D

  • Very nice car!.

  • try to pass it during rain

  • damn

  • Was macht ihr da mit dem geilsten Autod er Welt ?!

Ist aber ein sehr sehr sehr sehr sehr sehr gutes Video !

    Ohaa dieses Autoooooooo !!!!

    ♥♥

  • @DeineMutter114 hola, que pasa?! Guten tag, wie gehts?!!!

  • I just wish am in it =]

  • my dad had one of theese great off road but got like 12 miles to the gallon on the expensive gas and had to get the brakes changed 4 times in the 1 year he owned it

  • @DaSkatemafia sounds like your dad needs to learn how to drive!

  • @sabbathmann we live in a heavily populated area and its always stop and go traffic

  • we were actually talking about the guy in the snow, but welcome to the conversation.

  • i gotta diesel... i love it, screw that plastic thing :)

  • i am wondering why this caris not used by military........its a beast lol

  • if you dont wont to torture it...an then fo what you buy it? :| is just a piece of metal men...

  • if you dont wont to torture it...an then fo what you buy it? :| is just a piece of metal men...

  • so good... even a woman can offroad it.

  • animal

  • COOL !!!!

  • addio convergenza.

  • good driving

  • shits on the cayenne :P

  • @superlloydyRS5 same POS with a different "nametag" and more fallable motors!!!

  • man merkt wie das auto beinahe überkippt.

  • fanny offroad

  • i like the little wing on the roof....looks almost like a fancy crossbar

  • i absolutly love thesee machiness i want onee soo badd

  • i was waiting for it to tip :(

  • this means off-road ?!

  • nice driving ;)

  • witzig wie jeder am besten weis wie es gemacht wird... xD (typisch deutsch)

  • sieht sehr spektakulär aus, weil die verschränkung mies ist.....

  • I miss my touareg. But will be getting a 2010 4runner soon.

  • Diesel have more power than gasoline, so for off-road trip you need a diesel engine. You cant doubt on this...

  • bullshit, for offroad you need a v8. With a diesel you can wait 1 sec till the turbo starts working, I need traction right away that only the 4.2 liter can give. The W12 6.0 is too heavy.

  • ya right. i prefer diesel anyway.

  • @desireless4ever Go on, get the petrol, and see what happens in a river or the wet.

  • @desireless4ever turbo is only for faster acceleration u dumbass

  • @desireless4ever If you need that much traction then you should be in low range, and the last thing you want is a shit load of revs. The diesel has a lower torque curve and is far easier to control at low revs.

  • @Mrwickid1979

Of course I was in low range when I drove in this video brother. The diesel engine itself has more torque, yes but who cares. The torque on the wheel is more interesting and that is higher with the V8. From the start, and not when the turbors finally bother to pump up after a second or so.

  • @desireless4ever If you are in the right gear at the right time the turbo would already be spinning. Try using the DSG the way VW intended.

  • @Mrwickid1979 See ... with a diesel I need to take care which gear to chose just to keep the turbo spinning. Thats why I have a V8. It has torque from the very beginning, a performance curve without dents. And forget the fuel prices, it runs on LPG, therefore cheaper than diesel.

  • @desireless4ever Actually, the V8 has 410nm of torque which doesn't come in until 3000rpm, even if we forget the V10 diesel, the V6 diesel has either 500nm or 550nm of torque from 1500rpm depending on the year. I work for Volkswagen. Stop arguing with me ok. It's fairly evident only one of us knows what we are talking about.

  • @Mrwickid1979 550nm on the crankshaft, right. BUT NOT ON THE WHEEL. I need the torque on the wheel and not on the paper or in the gear box, brother.

  • @desireless4ever What, do you think the torque fairies come and steal it before it gets to the wheels? You knob end......

  • @Mrwickid1979 You name it. Take your calculator and multiply the torque with the the engine speed and see what is left on the wheel. The diesel HAS to have a higher torque because of its low rpm.

  • @Mrwickid1979 It's pretty evident you are another "VW" moron in your little "VW" corner of the industry all the "real" techs and fabricators force you in, because you know that is how the strong in the industry treat the weak - (Euro dealers have to IMPORT your techs cuz american techs aren't dumb enough to waste their time on over-enginered fragile garbage) If you had any head for "DIesel" you would know how PATHETIC these figures are - Torque for CV joints? CV JOINTS?? LOL!! RU a salesman?

  • @RebelofMetal I've worked for Honda, Jaguar, Nissan, Ford, Subaru, Land Rover, BMW, Ssangyong and VW. I've been a mechanic and now, yes I am a Salesman. And I'm in AUSTRALIA you moron, not America. I have managed to gather a fair bit of info over the years and can say without any bias that of all the makes I have dealt with over many MANY years, VW is by far the best in every respect. You are free to form your own narrow minded opinion, but I think I have earned the right to form mine!

  • @RebelofMetal You are such an insolent piece of shit, you can surely dish out the accusations, but can you take them. I doubt it. you say that the Europeans have "over-engineered fragile garbage", well then why do the Volkswagens generally score 5 stars for the Euro Ncap, and correct me if im wrong but doesn't VW own or own part of and build many parts for: Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Bugatti. so you let me know when the States pull their fist out of their own ass and build a decent car.

  • @Mrwickid1979 You haven't driven many turbos have you??? Without a BOV, the turbo STALLS it's Turbo's 101 and NO there isn't any "magic" involved, VW has to play by the same laws of physics everyone else does.....

  • @SneakyTweaky Diesel gives you more Torque, Power is around the same as gas, may be a few HP less, but Diesel has way more torque than Gasoline. You have to get a huge displacement in a gas engine to get the same torque you get from a diesel engine. So, everything depends on what engine and car you have, I have been in off road situations using Diesel and Gas, both are good, as long as you know the engine limits. Anyway, No wonder why tractors and heavy equipment is diesel and not gas.

  • @SneakyTweaky you might have more torque but with a diesel you to have a turbo which means lag.

    use your noodle before commenting

  • @SneakyTweaky lol. Diesel engines do NOT have more "power" than gasoline engines. Do you even know how a diesel engine works?

  • @RDubya146

Lil kid, do you even own a car? Oh I guess not cuz you are underage. Now go and play with some dollz or somethin.

  • @SneakyTweaky LOL. Funny guy. Funny. Trying to use my age to avoid the question. Actually I do own a car. A 1997 Jetta GLS. Now that we have that covered, do you actually even know how a diesel engine works?

  • @RDubya146

Ask your mom, sure she must know how. And btw your car sucks.

  • @SneakyTweaky I'll take that as a "no." And on top of that you are a pathetic person.

  • @RDubya146

Oh cmon your mama knows it, don't be shy, go ask her :D

  • @SneakyTweaky I'm done arguing with a simpleton like you. Good day.

  • @RDubya146

No please continue arguing with me, I'm crying :(

  • @RDubya146 LOL! Why do you think semi's that haul thousands of pounds worth of stuff, operate via diesel engines? Its not for fuel economy, its because they provide much much more power. Don't speak about things you don't know or can't backup via a creditable link. :)

  • @trstark27606 You are seriously that stupid? Okay. Diesel engines do NOT make more power. They produce more torque. The engines that are in Semi trucks are purpose-built, massive displacement engines that have SUPERCHARGERS. AND they have up to 15 very short gears, not including reverse.Forced induction is where turbo engines make their power. Almost every diesel engine in production today is turbo or supercharged. The reason why people use diesel engines is for durability.

  • @SneakyTweaky

Diesel has less power but more torque

  • @SneakyTweaky Diesels don't actually have more power, they have more torque or turning force than equal sized Petrol engines.. Also a petrol engine can be just as effective as diesel engines when it comes to going off roading, is all you need is to rev the petrol engine in the right spot to achieve maximum torque. Using a low range gear is really what you need on an off-road trip although i do agree that a diesel engine is a good choice for going off-road.

  • @SneakyTweaky Wrong

  • @SneakyTweaky POWER = TORQUE x R.P.M. DIesels have much more torque, but at lower revs.

  • @SneakyTweaky more torque you mean

  • @SneakyTweaky how are you such a fuck tard,

  • @SneakyTweaky totally WRONG !!!! diesel has more torque then gasoline !!! power (HP) not equal torque (Nm) !

  • @SneakyTweaky by careful of your use of words, petrol/gasoline engines have a lot more power than diesels, as the can achieve higher rpm. What I think you mean is that diesel engines have better torque, this allows for the smoother driver at slow speeds up and down hills ;)

  • @SneakyTweaky correction diesel engines have more torque due to longer troke. gasoline engines produce more power

  • @96integra02 Gasoline engines generally produce more HORSEPOWER. Power itself is an entirely different subject. Gasoline engines basically get spanked in any sort of "power" neccessary application by diesels, such as towing, off-roading, even racing nowadays. Diesels have the grunt. Sure horsepower may look pretty on paper, but torque is where it counts. Diesels got it, Gassers don't. A few rpms don't make a hell of a difference. Oh...diesel's are more fuel efficient too btw...

  • @VTclass4roads so you're pretty much saying i was right. thanks

  • @96integra02 No, not really. Gasoline engines don't have more power. Diesels do, thanks to higher compression and the higher energy stored in diesel fuel. So I guess I'd be saying you're wrong. Thanks.

  • @VTclass4roads dude really gas engines do have more HP diesel engines give you more torque due to that difference gas engines rev faster, plz don't let your ego miss your point

  • @96integra02 ok....you clearly know only little ricers so im gonna fill you in. hp ratings favor high-revving engines because of the way it's measured. if you look at actual power output (not horsepower, power) diesel's win, every time. thats why that heavier 2000 VW jetta tdi with about half the "horsepower" of your little integra will smoke you. its also why my 2000 ram 2500 diesel, with 215hp, is faster than my 2004 dodge dakota v8 with around 300hp.

  • @cummins24421 we've been talking about hp this whole time that's how your lil argument started now you wanna make up for your ignorance by just talking about "power" not hp? when i was clearly mentioning gasoline engines have HIGHER HORSE POWER. you're pathetic , o wait now you're going try to mention how hard core your by just claiming you're lil heavy duty truck is faster get real bro.

  • @96integra02 You're really not making any sense. It's like you take my responses and jumble them up. Fail...

  • @VTclass4roads well if you think i'm not making any sense than you should have a better come back, you fail

  • @96integra02 lol, having more horse power and less torque has nothing to do with revving faster. Diesel is burnt more completely than petrol, and it's can't do so at too high revs. It needs more time to burn, and therefore the revs are limited...

  • @SneakyTweaky and I DO! Because it's not generally correct.

  • lol, "torture" not that at all...these BEG for you to take them out like this...I like that, wife wants one....but not for off road ;)

  • girl drving very good

  • @superpatryk11 Girl is doing what she's told. Nothing more...

  • echt net leicht! super leistung! sprech aus erfahrung

  • zer gut

  • Whats the best engine for offroading in the Tourareg... The Gasoline or the Diesel???

  • I prefer the Gasoline, Diesel always sounds like a tractor and it takes half a second till the real traction comes along. This is a V8, it runs on LPG, is faster, smoother, sexier than any diesel and even the LPG gas is cheaper.

  • Gasoline is the way to go, nice to once again that some people still likes gasoline engines rather then diesel.

    Cool video 5/5

  • if your serious about offroading, why would youi bother with a tourage??

  • i agree. thats what jeeps are for :)

  • try pricing those broken parts mate.. rovers look nice but u need a big wallet.. u forget that most of us maintain our vehicles ourselves.. our mommys and daddies dont pay for the broken parts that we break.. it must be nice to break shit and send it to the dealer on daddys tab..........

  • I´d hardly categorize the old Gelendewagen, as a sport utility vehicle. it´s more like a tractor.

The defender and the Gelendewagen are in the same league. both extremely capable offroad tractors.

But fact is, that VW touareg, porsche cayenne, Audi Q7, BMW X5, Cadilac Escalade etc. are all sofroad vehicles.

As i said, if you are planning on crossing the jungels of africa in a SUV. Range rover is the ONLY choice.

But it would be even better in a tractor like the Defender :)

  • VW touareg, porsche cayenne are proper off-roader. audi Q7 and BMW X5 are for light off-road, the quattro in the Q7 isn't designed to do proper off-roading, however it works; the Xdrive from BMW is only good for additional traction when it gets a little rougher on the the road. cadilac escalade? let's not talk about that POC okay.

i agree with you on range rover, but the range rover nowadays are not very reliable, i don't want a breakdown in the jungle.

    defender are perfect for africa.

  • @DisposableWarrior how the hell can a porsche cayenne be classed as a proper offroader! you cant even get decent offroad tyres for one

  • Yeah the best car's are from Germany, not this fucking usa pseudocars!! Good job!

  • Beautiful wheels :) I have the same with summer tyres :) but they are very bad on mud...

  • pffft. dat moet voor de nodige buikpijn gezorgd hebben in je voormalig nieuwe wagen ;)

    netjes trouwens hoor ;)

  • good movie

  • I don' try this with my car!!!!!!!!!!

  • Volkswagon Baby....The best !!!

    love those Touaregs

  • the random lady flailing her arms around is annoying, they dont need her. thats just obnoxious. the toureg is an amazing car

  • Congratulations, but i think you really can say: It's a torture to the new driver. XD. Not true. Drive very good. Cool

  • you are a good pilot...poor Touareg:(

  • very nice, i can see the cheyenne in it

  • i like the Touareg. makes me envy yours..to bad its way too expensive here (the Philippines).

  • well done. i would have jump'd out of the car...lol...

  • Actually, that is EXACTLy what it was designed for. EXACTLY.

Luxury SUV of the year and Offroad WSUV of the year simultaneously in 2004, set the Guisness book of world records for highest offroad elevation without oxygen as well. it was designed with Africa in mind.

  • You are correct. The most capable SUV out there. Again Best luxury SUV for 2009. Eat your heart out BMW, Mercedez, Lexus etc...

  • you wouldn't drive to the other side of africa with a car like this

anyway, its a good driver, work a bit more on those skills and you will become a real offroader ;)

  • @nokmuay1970 You are delusional. These things are shite off road. My brother has one and it is junk. Its too low, the diff is completely ineffective, the amount of knocking noises that come from it are shocking and parts are scandalously expensive. VW dealers are pricks as well. It is the worst vehicle he has ever owned.

When you are in Africa you want a reliable machine. A Toureg is anything but reliable and they are not at all capable on rough terrain. Any 4x4 will do what is in this video.

  • @samsemtex Thats his fault for having low profiles on it or not knowinghow to use the lift control. I have 150k on mine and I have only the heater blower motor, 100euros and a delivery fee. Nothing else has been an issue, aside from brakes, belts, oil a& filter etc. (wear items). Maybe your brother doesnt know how to drive off road. I do, The army taught me I beat all other SUVs in Offroad & Luxy in the same model. as well. Also SUV of the year and Guiness book recod holder,

  • @nokmuay1970 1. He doesnt have low profile tyres on it. They are hybrid tyres which are supposed to be good on road and acceptable off road. 2. The places it was struggling should not need a good driver. He was following my dad who ploughed through it in his Landcruiser. And no serious off roader would even dream of using a Toureg. They are not in the same league as Landcruisers or even Landrovers. Pajeros, Troopers, Grand Vitaras, etc are all vastly superior off road.

  • @nokmuay1970 And what has being able to pull a 747 got to do with off road ability. It has a huge V10 engine. No other jeep has an engine that big so of course they wouldnt be able to pull it.

Maybe your Toureg has been reliable but the vast majority of them, like almost all VAG cars, are junk. Just look on the owners forums and you will see horror stories. They are terribly unreliable and parts are extremely expensive. Two plastic exhaust manifolds parts are €2000 from a dealer. Disgraceful.

  • @samsemtex was more of a point of interest, stating accomplishments. Touareg are not cheap so dont expect cheap parts. If people cant afford the gas or parts for them, maybe they should drive a jeep or some other cheap 4x4. To some people that is not expsensive, to others it is. Its all perspective. Do you think parts on the VW Blue or Audi TT or ferrai or bogadi are cheap? Forget price already, if you find it pricey, this is not a vehicle for you. And no one goes to the dealer for parts

  • @samsemtex Also, lets see a jeep toyota etc loaded Stock, loaded with 7000lbs, pull a 747 jet. All this as stock I might add. Maybe you just dont like it because you cant afford it, or you are brand loyal or becuase you believe people that not shite about the vehicle. It doesnt matter either way, Ill be there to pul you and you jeep freinds out of the mud like always.

  • @nokmuay1970 There is a known issue with the Touareg when it is towing (just google Touareg knocking towing) and VW Ireland offered to replace the hitch free but we would have to pay for the fitting. He reluctantly agreed and the dealer wanted €700 to fit a hitch! WTF? Of course they wouldnt just give us the hitch and allow us get another mechanic fit it. It had to be done by VW so they were told where to go.

The engine knocks in cold weather too. Another known issue which you can google.

  • you can get an air suspension package very expensive though 14 grand canadian and it makes the car an absolute off road tank, but the ever day one is not that bad off road

  • iLove Touareg

  • nice...

  • dan blijft de vraag: waarom?

  • easy and constant ....

  • wow man! nicejob! well done
