i met stuart adamson at a gig at middlesbrough rock garden when he was in the skids and he invited us backstage i will never forget how good he was to me R.I.P STUART ADAMSON i will never forget you my friend
I've been a fan of BC since first hearing them in 1983 as a high school kid in Toronto. Even now, I shudder when I watch footage like this. They were so remarkable, so incredible live, so emotional, so real. Bands come and go. Very few will stay with me.. Big Country ranks at the top of my list. The quality and humanity of their music stands up to anything I've ever heard. I miss Stuart dearly as well. BC really change my life for the better.
By God , the best bass ive ever heard ........... it was felt . without drums and bass you dnt have a team/band. 35 yrs ive been doin it, must say that Bass is GOOD.
Saw em in Oxford Apollo when I was 13, and Mark Brzezicki drum clinic at Wembley Music Fair the same year. Blew me away both times. What a sad loss to music. R.I.P Stu.
brings back good memories.Top singer, damn good guitarists, top class drummer and no doubt the best bassist going. Quite simply the best band. He may be gone but the music can never be buried
Sadly Stuart took his own life in Dec 2001. In Hawaii. Let's try not reflect on that now. Big Country are back again !!! With Mike doing a good job on vocals!!
probably one of the hardest working bands ive seen, saw them do a small gig in my own town, then supported U2,and then headline all in the same year,in notts, awesome
From the umbrellas in the audience, this could be the concert in Karlsruhe - we were completely wet, but it was the best concert I have ever been too!
This is an awesome video. I wish I was there. One question for the guitar afficianados, I noticed that Stuart plays a Fender in all the 90's videos and a Gibson in the '80's. Why the change?
These guitars have different tones but the sound can be similized by the use of effects. Most musos switch from a les paul to a fender to save their backs. The gibson is much heavier and a pain to hunk around your neck for 2 hours on a gig !!!
Well, I lived in BC, long before it was a land known by many; I miss many I met there, and I am sure they miss me. When I leave, the land will be, without me. Those, who knew me, showed me how to live, and I try just that. Look away...snow will fall and rain shall drip....and I shall be no...know I was. Cheers Earthlings, favstout

Good live version! Little speech on the end is funny. ´Proost´ is a Dutch word, meaning cheers! Not a German word I believe...
