  • are you sure of the song title; i did not hear the slang word 'toot sweet' anywhere in the song.

  • @KingdomUploader It being my video . . . . I get to name it.

Now, maybe you could take 30 seconds (less time then it took me to write it) to read the description I wrote for it, It just may answer your question.

  • @ncatt lol; actually it only took me 5 seconds to find the song title in your description; why i am so quick to comment sometimes just shows how ignant i can be. i even went off and googled a bunch of info that i could have found in your description; now that is truly iganant:~)

    many, many blessings

  • @KingdomUploader The song was written by Paul Anka but produced by Disney producer Tutti Camarata. The Toot is for him. BTW listen to the tune only. Paul Anka reworked it as the Tonight Show Theme starring Johnny Carson. Find a copy of the Tonight Show Theme on youtube, play it, then come back and listen to this song. Johnny's Theme made Anka a fortune since he got royalties of $500/night five nights a week, 52 weeks a year, for 30 years. I did the math for you about $3.9 million.

  • I started watching Mickey Mouse Club when it started. Karen my first favorite because she was closer to my age. I had the comic book Disney put out about Annette, showing on the first page(s), her ballet recital in L.A. Also, a bit about her tonsils taken out & some Campbell's Tomato&Rice soup her mother gave her; a piece of rice irritated her healing throat. Odd, what little memories stir. When MS is a bad day for me (nowhere near 2ndary progressive),I think of her & remember to smile! Maggie

  • Her nephew says she is fine.

  • Love it!!!!....she was the reason I quit playing with toys!!!

  • Saw a news report that she lost her house to a fire recently. Hope she's doing okay.

  • i love annette! i first saw her on the monkeys uncle

  • You are so correct. there is not a singer or actress today who shows the beauty, grace and class of Annette, and sadly probably never will be again. Thanks for the videos and memories.

  • I liked her in her 20's. More mature and way sexier

  • @genericgeorge I liked her in her 20's but I also liked her in her teen's and (as I also aged) her 40's equally well. As she aged, she became more mature & sexy to most.

  • @ncatt And she nevver stopped being cute either!

  • Annette is a Scorpio:

Key Words / Phrases for Scorpios.... dark & mysterious, irresistible personal magnetism, creates a fascination in members of the opposite sex, ooze sexual excitement, marvelous capacity for taking everything to the limit & beyond, emotions run deep, intuition is remarkably accurate, their antennae can pick out a prospective partner at first sight, needs to keep a part of themselves private & personal, react vigorously should a lover trespass in their personal domain.

  • Hmm me too. She's kinda hot but I don't think it would work between us since we are too alike.

  • @123JDB789 Most important and probably more than all of the above is that Annette (IMO) is a virtuous woman. As such, she is a very rare gem indeed

  • Toot Toot !1 The song of a life time is right before my very ears..You can detect a heavy metal beat wanting to escape a lovely melody.

  • I knew a gal in school that looked pretty much like Annette, a babe she was indeed.

  • I had heard that Paul Anka had written the theme for Johnny's Tonight Show, but I didn't know the tune had such a history. ...Annette: The personification of grace and character.

  • I can't find the lyrics to this anywhere!

  • My God! This is The Tonight Show theme! Never knew it had lyrics! Just received this on "Before They Were Hits" Volume 4. I never knew until today(Dec.1, 2008) that there was a vocal version of "Johnny's Theme". I thought it was written just for the series.

  • Yep - Actually, this song was written specifically for Annette by Paul Anka back when they dated while touring together. I believe the song "Puppy Love" (made famous by Donny Osmond) was also written for her by Anka.

  • Paul Anka himself sang Puppy Love first, then Donny covered it years later before his voice changed

  • @rosesofpaper Yeah, this was originally on the album "Annette Sings Anka".

  • obviously all concerned annette fans. but let's be as respectful concerning her privacy as the gracious lady would be herself. she's given us so much. she deserves that.

  • hello thank you for the quick response it is understood but I have not heard from the family for 10 years and am concerned but I have always been in rememberence of her the way she was and always will but I just hope she is still around that is all thanks again and please keep her music alive

  • Yes, she is but she (& the family) have "retired" to private life. We are fortunate she shared her best 40+ years with us. Let's pray for her and her family and allow them to share privately, her "retirement" together.

  • @ncatt Umm. the devil gave us 'lady' gaga, and madonna, but God gave us Annette. I had a crush on her when she was with the MM Club.

  • hello I love all of annette funicellos work what a great talent I have wondered how she is doing do you happen to know what has happpened

to her since her illness . I hope that god gives her many more years on this planet she is a real treasure and god bless you anette from your friend josh .

  • Sorry I do not speak about her health condition. She's publicly told us about her MS over 20 years ago. Time takes a toll.

Please enjoy the videos and remember her as she was in the videos and not as she is now. That would be the greatest respect you can give her and her family.

  • @tough213 All I know is as recently as March 10the of this year, she was taken to hospital after a big fire in her home. I do not think it was related to the MS, as much as it was to make sure she was fine. If I knew more I wouldn't say. Annette shared a lot of her life with us, and I for one am grateful. My first major crush. Her beauty, talent, and charm are eternal. God bless you Annette. A fan forever.

  • An exotic looking babe and friendly too she is. ;)

  • shes soooo pretty :) love the song

  • Such nice memories of Annette!

  • She's great and this is a great song! Thanks for posting!

  • they just dont make them like her anymore.

  • Oh what memories this brings back!

  • I remember Annette in the 1950's. I used to watch on M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!! Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse....... I wish I could go back to those days. How different and innocent it was back then....compared to today! Well....there is no comparison!

  • Thank you for posting. Nice song with cherished memories from the '60s.

  • GREAT PICTURES! LAURA

  • Oh my GOD...looking at the description..I KNEW it was familiar..Paul Anka's theme for Johnny Carson!!!
