  • My generations songs blow compared to this!

  • Amazing. This is a great song... Remember the movie "Bull Durham" - Crash Davis and Annie Savoy...

  • Wish I had a nickle for every time I danced to this. Great dance number.

  • i remember those days....more like sixty seconds now.

  • One of my favorite songs from the early era and one of the funniest!

  • HOKUM.

  • HAHAH

  • Listen to that Clyde Mcphatter, that unique voice gets me, I wonder does anyone have his early gospel stuff, God gifted voice.

  • 15 minutes of blowing my top....Seriously?

  • @porkchop745 Yes, real seriously!

  • I was on Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas and thought of the movie "Shag" and this song and had to listen to it LOL!!!! Charleston reminded me of South Carolina which reminded me of Shag, so now this is my cruisin song for Charleston Blvd LMFAO!!!

  • Never heard of this song before today. Thank God for letting my college having a class such as the history of rock n roll music. 3 credits for listening and writing about music. Gotta love it!!

  • @asceventura what school?

  • @pokerisfunalot A college in the state of Michigan. It transfers to many of the other colleges in Michigan, so multiple schools teach this.

  • @asceventura nice man im in the same class in Canada tho lol

  • @asceventura Central? I'm in a college in Michigan taking this class right now. It's amazing!

  • @Cabooseluva Western, and it is pretty much amazing. 3 easy credits if you ask me. haha

  • @asceventura Damn, I thought we could have been friends. Oh well, I do at least agree on the easiness of the class. Definitely a must take class!

  • HI, BOY OH BOY, WHAT A CLASSIC! THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES AND THE FUN,TOM D.BRICK,NJ. {AT THE SHORE}.

  • I believe Billy Ward sang lead on several songs, as on "Up Jacob's Ladder", "Tootsie Roll"...His leads had a rather pop-ish sound, and weren't bluesy as were J. Wilson's & McPhatters's. You can hear McPhatter doing the falsetto background on 60 Minute Man.

  • This group was called Billy Ward's Dominoes, Ward did not sing with the group.

  • Jackie Wilson sing bass, Clyde Mcphatter sing lead...

  • sixty minutes my ass. i can do some serious fuckin for about three or four minutes.

  • @mdees100 amen brother! lol

  • @mdees100

    you must be gay.

  • Bill Brown on lead.....

  • Second favorite song ever. Right behind Mack the Knife. Great stuff. Ever hear Zing went the strings of my heart? Another bass in the lead song.

  • I do not believe Clyde is singing on this.

  • Real smooth. What a groove!

  • Is this the version from 1951 with Clyde McPhatter singing the lead?

  • Thanks YT for bringing us wonderful treasures like this from the past-this is the music that inspired Elvis

  • Awesome tune!!! One of the true examples of rock n roll groups...originals.

  • An innovative rock and roll group with the legendary Clyde Mcphatter in this lineup.

  • Yes, Rock 'n Roll as it should be considered!!! Thank you 'Bull Durham' for making this known!!!
