Well, think this song is about a couple together a long time. Cuz this is how it gets. But with more yelling. Why is it only Jacques Brel mentions the yelling? Yelling, posturing, in front of the kids, despite the kids, the suitcases. The boredom and restlessness. The other love interests. Somehow, Jacques Brel is the only one who threw it all into one song. It's called Chanson de Vieux Armants.

Not many songs about old loves. This one's pretty good. Leonard Cohen and Jacques Brel have some very good ones. Now, I love Waits. Think these all guys are in the same category. But Brel perhaps had the best of these few songs. Somehow he included in one song about an old love the anger, betrayal, infidelities, boredom, reslessness, children, fights... the range of shit in old relationships.
