I know of no other racetrack in theworld that if another driver in a non-Ferrari would even dare lead a race that the fans would actually throw objects on the track than in Monza. Nah u have missed the point. Sportsfans always debate the greats. Boxing fans compare Ali, Tyson, Marciano, etc. Yes we all know they are both way above the rest of us - we r debating because it's intereting to compare and contrast the elite. i admit Schumacher is one of the 10 greatest drivers the human species has produced - but I'm more interested in why he wasn't as good as the number 1 - Senna.

Senna didn't perform well in inferior cars, Schumacher however did. Senna may have been faster when it comes to one lap, that's why he was such a great qualifyer but in the long run Schumacher would always have been faster cause of his constancy and ability to feel the changing performance and wear of the car parts. Telemetry data also prove that Schumacher has been fastest driver ever in curves. Senna had already passed his best when he died but his death obviously made him a legend, anyways.

Gay Schumacher never even raced his teammates with equal equipment. If Senna had done that he would have had all of Prosts wins as well.

Even Alonso is racing Hamilton with equal equipment, Schumacher is a fraud who never did this. This ignores his cheating with banned driver aids.

Today drivers need much more physical preparation than before, because today drivers experience much higher G forces, but quality wise it is hard to judge.

Before it was just more chalenging for the drivers but that doesn't mean that drivers today would not be able to have same results once they get used to old cars.

Raw stats are meaningless. If Schumi's career had been spent in Senna's cars against Senna's opposition, he would have won maybe 30 races and maybe 30 poles. Senna was better in every concievable way.
