  • @ergotrof hi there after reading this i was confused by what you said ,after jesus was on the cross and said its finish/complete, if the point you are trying to make is correct then we shouldnt read anything further including the book of revelation which was recorded by john on the island of patmos, from what you seem to be implying makes the rest of the new testament of no importance at all????????????????????????????????please explain????????????

  • "Yes, we're hot and sweaty," pointed out Rachelle Huff, of Charles Town, "but its nice to know you're helping someone else." Developing positive attitudes about service, like Rachelle's, was the focus of the this and other service projects that the youth experienced over the course of a four-day conference.

  • @ergotrof How do you know that? Did you read the Book of Mormon?

  • As the only Mormon in the majors, Law knew he was under scrutiny.

"I knew I needed to keep my nose clean and set the right example," he said.

Moody's book details how Law dealt with challenges to his standards. When he received a phone call during the World Series asking him to pitch Marlboro cigarettes, he told the caller he couldn't endorse a product he didn't believe in -- then handed the phone to a teammate whom he knew would give the same answer.

  • "Kiss It Good-Bye" sketches a portrait of a rugged boy who grew up on a farm in Meridian, Idaho. While competitive, Law was also humble, selfless, dignified and naturally sincere. He could intimidate without being unsportsmanlike, Moody writes.

Moody called Law "the archetypal American success story" -- an unsophisticated country boy who recognized his god-given talents and found a way to employ them while remaining true to his values.

  • Finally, by late 2009, the time had arrived for the branch to become a ward again.

"With the recovery of the city and the recovery of the branch," President Conlin said, "it grew and grew and finally had sufficient priesthood leadership and membership that we were able to make the recommendation to the Brethren to reestablish a ward there. We made that recommendation and it was approved.

  • As graduate students and professionals returned to live in the city again, they, too, augmented the branch's growing momentum.

"We have a lot of returned missionaries who have a spontaneous willingness to reach out when they see someone new in the ward, reach out in many cases to help them with language issues," Bishop Seasons said. "They've taken it upon themselves to go out and fellowship and bring these people in. It's just been amazing."

  • When I first became branch president, we talked a lot in the meetings about what a Zion society was like and what it would take for us to move toward that," Bishop Seamons said. "People took it upon themselves to look beyond their own immediate situation. As people would move in and they would observe their friends and neighbors [serving others], they would jump into that same effort."

  • By the time Bishop Seamons was called as branch president in 2007, the average meeting attendance had risen to about 45. That number continued growing, thanks to selfless service and fellowshipping efforts.

  • Joseph Smith was called a prophet -

dum, dum, dum, dum dum dum-dumb!!

  • Notice how "white and delightsome" they make everyone look (including Christ)?

  • MORmON... my goodness, does it get more sophomoric than that?

  • yah, busy body Jesus hustled Himself over to america because it was so critical for Him to get around for everyone to see ..... then he dropped out of sight for

1800 years ....if you believe MORmONS!

  • Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.

The Book of Mormon testifies of this truth. It acts as evidence of the truthfulness of the Holy Bible.

Why wouldn't Bible-believing Christians want more evidence to support their faith in the Holy Bible?

  • why WOULD bible believing christians want more evidence to support their faith? dont start up with that MORmON

in the mouths of 2 or more witnesses crap because the bible more than meets that on its own.

  • If only the BoM and Mormon doctrine itself was not contrary and contradictory to the Bible.

  • @DefendingMormonism Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.

The Book of Mormon being a piece of 19th century fiction written to deceive many is not a shred of evidence of anything that ever happened other than that Joseph Smith was a fraudster.

The Bible contains all things necessary for salvation. There is no need for anything else.

  • I understand what you are trying to do, but I can't listen to both at the same time. Maybe you could interject some text and vpoice over at intervals instead? If you are fair and objective you will see the real Jesus of the Bible wins out anyway.

  • Lehi... hmmm who was he supposed to be? Brother of N ephi? Supposedly the sons of Jerrod a son or Isaak? And why are the not in the true genealogy in God's word, the Bible?

  • READ: THE BOOK OF MORMON

  • @leSavaii AND YOU WILL SEE THAT IT IS A FICTIONAL ACCOUNT SPINNING MANY FALSEHOODS!

  • This is actually the true anti-mormon propoganda because it hides the harsh facts behind mormonism and tries to sell it as a nice family religion full of good "Jesus" stories. I sure wish Fairlds would release something with some actual substance.

  • so if joseph smith wasn't BSing, then why were most of his "witness" signer dudes all with the same last name? its like me saying "oh heck yeah, that happened, and jim jones, tom jones, jack jones, and sarah watson all saw it as proof"

  • Does it really matter that many had the same last name? Did you know that many of the early Apostles were related as well?

  • LOL

that made me laugh a lot

    thank you

  • the crappy thing is that most defected from the church, yet never denied what they witnessed. they just couldn't take people trying to kill them off I think.

  • Peters: "the BOM is evil and a mockery of Jesus CHRIST"

Can you give an example from the text of the mockery that you claim is there?

  • @smpf38 There is no need to quote fiction. The mockery is the fiction itself.

  • Perhaps your heart is simply hardened to an extent of hatred for Mormons, and you cannot see you are not being the great guy you can be. Go outside, play some sports, do something besides calling people names online where you feel safe making fun of people. Surely Christ would recommend healthier things

  • i just picked up this video at deseret book in salt lake city... amazing video

  • Thanks! I recommend everyone read the Book of Mormon and find out for themselves if it is true. That Jesus is the Christ.

  • Excellant !

  • Well done...well done!
