  • What's the maximum number of times you can "Like" this!?

  • @naturebc thanks!

  • i depends on the dog how long it takes. Hope had a good history of shaping so she picked up on in very quickly. it took 35 short sessions for her to do the 12 poles; I did one session every day or every other day since she was still young when I started. good luck with your dog!

  • Just started to teach this method with my young collie. How long did it take until Hope could weave the 12 poles? Love the video - very helpful!

  • the pylon helps ME throw the toy in the right direction which is very important so they always drive forward on the line of reward. the method is really great to help the dog learn to find the entry. the dog always starts with the first pole on their left shoulder, no matter from which direction they come. hope this helps!

  • thanks, Hudson2012. you'll love the results with this method!

  • @k9dancer i just tryed it, it is amazing! It really increases understanding of the exercise for the dog. She has already started weaving so it was easy for her to pick it up fast, but I was impressed with her willingness to enter by herself without me guiding her. I just have a few questions, is the pylon a guidance point for her to use? also when they enter a weave pattern, are they always supposed to enter on the right side no matter which side the handler is on? thanks alot

  • wow great job I started my Rott on weaves but never seen this method I will give it a try! thanks for sharing
