I hate Eric Crouch, this excuse for a QB stole the Heisman from Rex Grossman just because Grossman was a sophomore. Don't believe me? Compare the stats.
Seriously, Grossman was First-Team All American and won AP National Player of the Year, but somehow didn't win Heisman....despite leading the nation in yards per game AND passing efficiency and finishing 3rd in touchdowns. Limp dick Crouch ran for 18 TDs, threw a miserable 7 TDs against 10 INTs, and finished with only 2,600 TOTAL YARDS. How does that statline win the Heisman? Is that a joke? 25 total touchdowns from the quarterback position? And a horrible passing season at that?
@flagatorsrock8 It's only because Nebraska was undefeated, thank God for Tebow changing the lanscape or Heisman voting, I have to say though, our Grossman-Graham tandem was probably my favorite of all my years watching Florida football.
@Gizbo1328 yeah, voters really thought it meant MVP and not MOP, Adrian Peterson got ripped off by that too. 1,800 yards as a freshman...HAND HIM THE HARDWARE!!! And as much as I love Sexy Rexy I'd still have to go with the Tebow era as my favorite years (cliche, I know). We'll never see anyone like Tebow ever again and it's great that he was a Gator.
@flagatorsrock8 I agree. I hate Florida and I don't like Denver, but Tim Tebow is probably the classiest, most humble, and most gentelmanly player the game has ever seen. He is who the role model for children should be, not some of these arrogant assholes like TO and Chad Ochocinco. I will never forget the tearful press conference after they lost to Mississippi in 08. He promised that he would play the hardest possible and push his teammates as hard as possible, and they won the championship
Just an honest one man. I've seen that stuff in backyard football and college rugby all the time. It's not that crazy. A good run for sure, but hardly crazy or very notable. I wasn't impressed.
Crouch was a WAAAAAAAY better runner than Taylor Martinez is.

For those who love and admire the talents of the truly great open field runners. THIS run is as close to Gayle Sayers as you'll ever see.

It's a 96 yard run, not 100 yards you retard. Offensive plays are measured from the line of scrimmage. How stupid are you.

This is THE one run, this one play . Even WITHOUT the benifit of NFL Films music to enlarge and exagerate it's worthines, that can inspire us all !!
Just listen to the crowd once he fakes out # 29 @ 0:43 and then again when he finally breakes free , @ 0:47.Nothing short of sensational !
Does'nt really matter what happened afterwards in his career or in the pros. On that day he was as good as anyone who stepped on the gridiron.
