No, they copped out and gave the kid amesnia, but that doesn't explain if he knew Juliet, Sawyer, Jin and Miles from his childhood or not. It seems Faraday left the island for most of the 3 years and Sayid, Kate, Hurley and jack just got their, but would amesnsia erase memories of 3 years do you thinK?

He said to Widmore as a kid he doesn't remeber getting their, or why he would need to be there after waking up at the Hostiles camp. So Sayid is definatly out of his memory, and he never met Jack or Hurley, and Kate was after he was shot by Sayid so she's probably erased out of his head too. And Faraday was gone it seems for most of the 3 years, so I guess only Jin, Juliet, Sawyer and Miles might be remembered.
