unknown whistle from my srt-4

That was the same problem that my SRT. just a hair line crack in the gasket and make that noise.

How's your cars voltage? Sounds like the alternator is having issues. Either it be the belt is too tight, something wrong with the pulley, or even the alternator. itself going bad. It's really hard though to tell with just a camera

i fixed it. it was infact the intake manifold gasket

it could be a bearing, but r u sure isnt the turbo that is whistling, usually when turbos are blown they make a whistling sound cos the propel is scratching the housing.

It sounds like when u giver throttle the whisttle disapears?? am I right....it'd hard to determine from the actual video??

it goes away almost completely. when its constant throttle u can still hear it a lil. ppl r thinkin its a bearing in an accessories pulley

hey man... Mine done that after I blew and intake manifold gasket..same noise and it nearly or completely quits when you give it gas...Im pretty sure thats what it is...hope this helps!

the video clearly stats where the general area of the source is. which is not the intake. its not the throttle body. i checked the pcv n its good.

Well look at it this way at least now you have the sound of a jet airplain engine lol. It's probably the airfilter or the hole airintake(check it throughoutly) system;)

mopar intake, s2 wga, and 3 inch dump exhaust. those are the power adders

same thing happned to me. the gasket inbetween your throttle body and intake manifold is leaking, causing the squeal.

the source of the sound isnt by the throttle body.
