nice video, I recently attended a siminar with Mike Anderson; he uses mostly howlers mixed with some rabbit calls. He states that a coyote more than likely comes to a rabbit squeal to see who has the rabbit, not necessarily because he is hungry. The main diet for a coyote is actually mice. In fact in some of his videos coyotes that are coming in stop and eat mice on the way.
I think you may have meant Randy Anderson. Everyone has their own style. Randy uses howls alot, BUT he knows when and how to effectively use them. Weekend warriors should stay away from howlers because they can do more harm than good. The food source is will cast the widest net (to coin a phrase from Byron South). Good calling.
That was great, and by the way if I had shit flying by me at around four thousand feet per second I think I might could be a little twitchy too.

is it okay to leave food for coyotes i've seen near the quarry?

i wouldnt recomend it cuz it would give them a bad habbit toward humans and in leaving goodies out for them it makes a problem

No, it will only encourage Coyotes to come near human populated areas leading to attacks and missing pets.
