Nope, the movie doesn't show anything close to penetration or even ejaculation. It more has to do with the maturity and intensity of the subject matter. From what I have heard, there's about 6 or 7 simulated intercourse scenes (just boob, side and butt), implied gay oral sex, and a threeway but it never becomes pornographic in detail and sex is depicted as a drug for the character to function, not erotic in any way. Apparently MFB also goes commando several times...
Have you not heard that there's a buttload of full frontal in throughout the movie? Especially Fassbender, male full frontal is a big no-no in the MPAA
Steve McQueen is astounding. certainly among the best new directors in recent memory. add the best actor and best actress working today and you have a masterpiece on your hands.
