BMW has totally lost my respect. WTF is this? Limited edition of 67 slightly more powerful SEDAN variants!!! AHHHH I can't take it anymore! I love my M3 e92 coupe, and as far as I can tell, they wont be producing anything worth my attention anymore. Longer, wider, heavier and under powered are what BMW stand for now. They make Benz look like a leaner competitor! Get somebody to take over the M division that was a former F1 driver, not some douche doctor like Seigler was. STOP THE INSANITY!

@busharmann That was the GTS... and it was an obvious fail because they priced it as high has a Porsche GT3 that didn't perform as well. Barely reduced the weight which was a shock compared to how they developed the amazing CSL e46 m3.

CSL was bmw at its best, GTS is supposed to also be BMW at its best and it was designed for the nurburgring, so 2 seconds faster with all that power and new tech around a track that big is realy unimpressive. @69mrbrightside691 THe GTS still weighs about 1750 kg (it's supposed to be 300 pounds lighter than a normal M3, which is supposed to weigh 1880 kg (4145 pounds) - all info from Wikipedia (i was too lazy to search for official tech specs).

The CSL on the other hand weighs 1385 kg. And has about 80 horse power less (360 vs. 440). Based on those numbers, the CSL has 260 bhp per tonne and the GTS has 250 bhp per tonne. There's your answer, why the GTS is only 2 seconds faster.

@PrimozResman Ah, i fail, i was look at the convertible weight numbers. The GTS should have about 1550 kg. SO 280ish bhp per tonne. Still not that much of a difference. Plus a lighter car steers and stops better.

@PrimozResman ive never heard of a normal m3 weighing over 4k i did some quick searches most sites say it around 3600lbs, max weight i saw was 3700 so thats probs with all kindds of heavy options and sunroof, meaning the GTS is more like 3300pounds. my point is y would bmw make a car thats supposed to be the new crazy fast version of there normal m3, priced at porsche 911 territiory and its harddly a step up from something they built nearly a decade ago U know what i mean? its a lil disapointing

@69mrbrightside691 I said i failed. Wikipedia has the cabriolet pegged at 1848 kg or 4145 lbs. The coupe and sedan are 1680 and 1781 kg, respectedly (3704, 3926 lbs). Again, all info from wikipedia which i ahve found incorrect in the past (in the case of Alfa Rome Giulietta the wiki weight was over 100 kg less than official specs).
