Install the latest Crysis patch because it has support for SLI. Considering that a single 8800gt can play in the 30's on all high. I'm sure 2 would run crysis on very high just fine.

Uninstall Fraps, delete the Frap's folder - Go "Run" and type "regedit" than press "Ctrl+B" or "Ctrl+F" than a search box will popup and type there "fraps" delete the folder - restart your machine and install the full version of Fraps.

Worked with me and I have Vista too

Hi! I don't know why u run Crysis so slow,i have a 8800 GT too but Crysis run from 25 to 45 fps on High settings at 1680x1050,perfectly playable and never lags.Maybe because the OS,I have still windows XP Pro 32...My system:

Asus P5B Deluxe

2X1Gb Geil DDR2-800

Seagate 7200.10 320Gb

in the time when I did this video, there were older drivers and not patches for windows and crysis so the game was slower. It would be interesting to do another video because as you said with latest drivers, win fixes and crysis patch 1.1 the game really runs faster as you say. I changed ram to OCZ 2x2GB and CPU to E8400, so I will post another video in the future.

Uhmmm no.... The Striker is 680i. I know this because my friend has a striker and he's got 2 8800GTs in SLI. The Asus Maximus series are intel x38 chipset which does support Crossfire. Wrong uber expensive Asus board...

xp. vista will have reduced performance even when running directx9. google "xp vs vista gaming" and you'll see

FPS during a game shouldn't ever go below 30. Any lower and you'll begin to notice lag. as to getting the fps counter on I can't help you there.

this is bullshit. 8800GT and GTS are the same card. 8800GTS is only strategic step by nvidia. 8800GT SLI is cheaper and on normal ressolution(for me 1680*1050) you cant see difference.

And i run it on High @ 1280x1024, the only thing that is fucked it in action it freezes up sometimes. Medium runs fine 30FPS+.

And im upgrading to:

2gb Ram

Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz

Should smash high setting @ 1280x1024 once i got that :D

emm the 8800GT OC'd runs at almost the same raw grunt as the Ultra, because it has a newer core. And people getting shitty FPS on Ultras are running everything @ High @ 1920x1200 :)
