I think the American animator had no idea what "a kirby" is, and just drew the character designs he saw off of the Game Boy game. Original Game Boy, being black and white, was all the animator knew, so he colored him white. lol.
"Dashing Super Guy" resembles The Tick, Captain N's Simon Belmont, and the titular character of the SNES game Tin Star.
Kirby doesn't have teeth, but that's like in several American cartoon shows adding teeth on other things that aren't meant to have or actually don't have teeth, from birds to furniture and electronics to stars and planets.
Kirby Was Completely White Because The Game Was On Game Boy And These Kind Of Game Boy Games Are In Black And White. But Now When They Released Kirby's Adventure On The NES He Is Now Correctly Shown Pink. (Said From The Gaming Historian)
He's WHITE?

The real reason Kirby is white is because they thought that American gamers would not accept a soft, pink colored hero.
