I finally got a sample of this stuff...holy crap is this good. It's like prada's amber but a bit darker \ sweeter and without the bubblegum-ness of Prada's. Much more well done fragrance all around. I was hoping Prada's amber intense would be a little bit more like AN, but unfortunately it isn't. God damned Hermes making great stuff that costs so much ^_^

Just an FYI, you can actually get 4 vetiver tonkas or ambre narguille's in the gift set...the problem is right now that they're not offering ambre narguille in the gift set purchases at all on hermes site...only vetiver tonka. There's a few other ones from the hermessence collection that aren't in stock in gift sizes right now either. It sucks that these are so hard to find!

spot on review man! I get a dark, honey, cinnamon and amber scent on my skin with the dominant note being honey. I have to go light on this, very strong on me like a thierry mugler quality fragrance.

When I smell this one, it reminds me a lot of apple pie. Yet even with that, it's completely original. When I first smelled it, I never smelled anything like it in my many years of niche collecting. This was so hyped, and it still exceeded my expectations. The people at Hermes are awesome.

Completely agree! This is absolutely going on my buy list. My favorite Fall fragrance as of yet! So great. It surpassed Tobacco Vanille because it's much more reserved and well balanced. Tobacco Vanille is too, but TV seems more loud and harsh. Once it dries down, then it gets better. But Ambre Narguile is amazing through the whole life of the fragrance.

@MyMickers Yup! That one is amazing. It's a bit smoky for me, but I do like it. This one is just so well balanced and delicious! Sesame seeds, honey, rum, cinnamon, etc. Come on now. Pure deliciousness.
