  • Hi Teresa! love to watch your video,I learned how to crechet thanks to youtube!

Thank you so much for you great crechet videos.

  • because of ur vids, i've gotten interested in crocheting & knitting again. tyvm! :)

  • @GreyWolfEyes1222 You are welcome.

  • I am not quite getting the idea of the ends so would like to see the written instructions but when I click on it I get instruction for a mushroom chapstick holder. Could you fix that?? I am just learning to read instruction and think I could get it if I see it in writing. I love your video's and would not be where I am if it weren't for you. I have made the majic potholders with 2 dish clothes and a pot holder as a set for my daughters for Christmas.

  • This is such a cute project. I was just wondering if you have a video for a stork pod. I can't seem to find it if you do.

  • @robert71255 Is that one of those baby pods?

  • i truly thank you for making me enjoy my time crocheting. I even bought more yarn today to start a new project without fear lol

  • @JenlovesAndy I appreciate the comment, thank you

  • I sure love all your instructions! I have learned a ton. I am confused about the ends on this one though, like Angela said. I will prevail though! Thanks again.

  • Hi Teresa! I'm a big fan of your videos :) You're doing an amazing job introducing the art of crochet to those unexperienced people like myself. I have achieved a lot of projects with your perfect explanations.

    Keep up the good work!

  • @dumpforstump Thank you very much for your kind words.

  • My magic potholders turned out beautifully!! I LOVE this shell pattern. The yarn I chose was by Sugar'n Cream. It's a varigated color called Buttercream, with light yellow, green, blue and pinkish. This yarn has a gentle 'washed-out' look and it worked perfectly for this project. Thanks again Teresa.

  • @banchie28 It sounds really pretty!

  • Ha! Ok, now I get it after watching how to make the 'magic' pot holder. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why it kept turning into a bag-shape.

    Thanks!

    Angela

  • @banchie28 You are welcome.

  • This was a difficult pattern for me to follow, Teresa. The confusion for me, is around the ends, how the pattern takes shape during row three, four, etc.

Is there any way you could do a response video (or anyone else) showing how to do the ends again, with a zoom out to show the entire piece?

I believe my inexperience may be the problem...

    Thanks so much,

    Angela

  • VERY pretty! Your instructions are GREAT! Thanks for taking the time to post this!!!

  • this is very pretty... My cousin is always using his shirts as pot holder after seeing this video I am going to make him a few just like this one... thanks

  • @mercado512 It sounds like he needs some potholders.

  • الف شكر على المجهوووووووووووود الرائع

  • @xxxx789ssss اهلا وسهلا بكم.

  • your videos are very useful but the sound the wool does passing on the needle just gives me goose bumps..and i really wanted to see the videos..

  • @sarouelala Maybe you can mute the sound?

  • @tjw1963 but that way i can't hear what you say, and you are usually very helpful..it's something i have to learn ignore...thanks for all the trouble with the amazing tutorials..i din't mean to be rude or anything, even when i'm working on something i have trouble with that sound..it's so..strange.. and i really like your videos..they made me fall in love, all over again , with crochet..keep up the good work ^^

  • @sarouelala I never took your comment as being rude and just thought muting may be a solution.

  • 100 % cotton yarn is usally used for this kinda project

  • 100% acryl yarn would not be suitable for this project. Since it can be flammable? Am I right?

  • Any potholder will burn. I would suggest that you read the label from the yarn manufacturer. I have made and used many potholders out of acrylic yarn. Crochet potholders work great for setting hot pans on but I would not recommend using them to physically remove a dish from the oven. I have found that the stitches separate causing burns.

  • can we also chain 32 and do 31 single crochet?? just thinking about that thxs im making 1

  • If you are able to get the stitches to fit and it is something you are happy with, you can change it however you would like.

  • thxz

  • is it ohk if we have 5 shell stitch??

  • The instructions are posted on my crochet blog.

  • This is beautiful!!! I love your Videos and have sent others to your videos to learn out to crochet. I think this would be a beautiful makeup bag as well. Add a lining and a zipper. Now if i can just figure out how to do that.

  • Thank you. :)

  • I love the look of this; the shell design is one of my favorites. I would like to make some placemats. What would you suggest for something that might not be too bumpy so you could set a drink on it? Or is that just not realistic? Thanks!

  • Yarn is going to be bumpy although I do have a single crochet yarn coaster that I use all of the time. I love it because it absorbs the moisture from the glass. Thread would make a very lovely placemat and would have more of a smooth finish.

  • How much yarn did you use?

The foundation single crochet is something new I just learned.

The shell design is so clever.

    Thanks tjw1963

  • You are welcome. 1 skein of yarn would be enough to make this project.

  • what is a potholder?i've heard about it couples of times but don't know what is it?

  • It is used for setting a hot pot or pan on top of the counter or table.

  • What size hook is this?

  • I thought it was a size J. According to the instructions on the blog, it is a size G hook.

  • really cute!!
