you should make it a full body harness. like include the crotch. then u know they cant just slip out of it when not looking.

Hi Emptynester7985, it's all about keeping a loved-one safe. Your Grandmother was proof of that! Sounds like she did a great job taking care of you. As you did with your daughter. Parents who tell me they have lost their child in the past in a store or park are always terribly shaken by the experience. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. E

Vampbabe,& others, I also was a small kid who was very active. Run, jump, climb. When I was 3, my out-of-shape Grandmother introduced me to the harness, and at first,when I felt restrained, I pulled and struggled like mad. Later, as I learned not to run off, she would remove the leash, unless I would start running off again. Then the leash would be re-attached for awhile, and I would again be restricted to 3 feet or so of her. I trained my younger daughter in a similar way.

Hi Vampbabe, Thank you so much for your comments. I do not have children with autism but I am so thankful that I can provide parents of autistic children with a high-quality product that keeps their child safe. Many of my customers have been hit by cars and/or had the state troopers look for them to bring them home before their parents have found me and ordered a harness. Having a harness to keep their child safe is truly a 'life saver' and it's an honour to help these kids in some small way. E

As a child who had to wear one of these....I feel mentally Damaged, Of course I was trying to run in the street but wouldn't you if you had to wear one a harness. Even when I was a kid I never liked pink. Of course my mother being the woman she is bought a Bright neon pink one I understand that some kids may need them...But i was a normal kid. It wouldn't have hurt to keep a better eye on me, I guess the point of this is If there's nothing wrong with your child Don't put a Harness on your kid

Hi JacobHloos, LOL! Gosh, I know it's been ages since I've had a chance to write anything on my blog. Thankfully I've been incredibly busy with orders and just haven't had time to do much sharing b/c all my time is spent sewing. Thanks so much for noticing tho.
