lol im really good with the ICs, they 1 of my favorite and 1 of my main characters, i don't chain grab at all, i do it sometimes but its crappy lol, when i grab, i do other kinds of combos, the ICs are powerful when they're together, but when separete, their power is halfed, they 1 of the most deadlyest characters when they get into a perfect chain grab

Sad thing is IC's chain grabs can be a lot more brutal then this. Thoes grab attempts were avoidable though. I have to Agree IC's are broken when facing a player who can truly rack up more than 40% damage in one chaingrab. Its just gross.

Pit has his issues. If you hit him during his UpB, he's screwed. His B moves arent cheap like you say they are. Forward B is easy to punish. He doesn't have any killing moves that don't require a setup.

The more you repeat an attack, the weaker it is. Since they've been chain grabbing all the way through, what would you expect. The Climbers' standard can do more.

DI means directional influence it's like if u get hit off the stage to the right u move the stick left so you don't get blown all the way to the right, in a sense. All of these are NOT perfect ways to tell the meaning of these so yeah go to smashworld forums or somethin and look up the stuff.

You can't DI or SDI out of the altgrabs.

DI only applies when you actually get sent out of an attack. By the time you can execute a DI input, you have already been grabbed again by the other Ice Climber.

SDI is DI during hitlag. Throws do not have hitlag except for a few very rare situations (like Melee Jiggs Fthrow).

You can DI out of stuff like Dthrow-Fair because you have time to execute a DI input, but you cannot do this with altgrabs.

From your example, I'll actually take that into consideration. While that's very true, that those weapons are considered cheap, edgehogging isn't nearly as bad. It's not as bad as you're making it out to be. In Melee it made recovering harder but in Brawl it's more difficult to take advantage of it due to auto sweet-spotting of characters and lack of usage for invincibility frames. In Brawl, if you're edgehogged, most likely, you were going to die anyhow.

Wow... The Falco player SUCKS in this vid. He's not attacking above or forcing them into an air battle. Also, sibling notes that the Falco player isn't dodging much.

The weakness of any and every chain grab (for any character) is that you need to be caught in one for it to work. Falco against the Ice Climbers is about attacking from the air in order to break the IC apart, then picking on Popo while keeping Nana away, then using air attacks to finish off the remaining.
