Oh and if you want screaming performance why would you buy a ultra light laptop? Extreme performance takes serious size. An example would be to look at the current Nvidia and ATI vid cards. Top of the line but about the size of a small import car!
Im confused on why it is you think it will be under 2.0ghz. currently you cant even buy a dell 13in xps under a c2d 2.0. Heck my year old m1330 is running more than 2.0. Even the atom in the mini9 is a 1.6. i dont see a flagship "luxury" laptop running anything under a 2.0.
Oh and most of the overheating had to do with an Nvidia driver that caused the fan to go crazy and was quickly fixed with a bios adjustment from dell.

What i see from this laptop will be a C2D 1.6-1.8 Ghz, integrated graphics, one thing that i can see by its aluminum design it might overheat a lot like its predecessor Xps M1330 - M1530 series

There was a listing on the dell site for an accessory for the "adamo thirteen", suggesting that there will be larger models. if there is an "adamo seventeen" which is reasonably cheap, light, and thin, it might just be the thing for me.

We'll see how fast Intel releases their westemere chips this year. Even so, I'm putting off buying a laptop till next year, considering USB 3.0 is out in Q1 2010, SSDs should be cheaper, slimmer blu-ray drives, Full HD LED LCD screens, cheaper DDR-3 or 5, and AMD might release Mobility HD 5000, though I've only seen one laptop with their newest ones. And I wouldn't be surprised if intel refreshes their 32nm lineup next year. While this is a very nice laptop, if its not that powerful...cya later.
