Eveer since I had to find all Fighting games on PS1, there were only two games I didn't like, that was Thrill Kill or something like that and another one called Evil Zone, great story though. Oh man and Destrega omg memories. Does anyone else remember the old PS1 cardboard box cd cases? waaay back then.

Not aware that you have to play through the game quickly to reach Ghost Bilstein (requiring those combos that you said didn't need to be used), and then there is an actual ending for everyone except Kappa and the other hidden character, Blood? Even the main baddy Bilstein has an ending. Read a FAQ.
Its not about the game being easy to beat. Its about the Vs mode. We spent hundreds or maybe even thousands of hours beating the crap of or roommates in the Vs mode in late 90s.
@DetentionNotes Maybe you could check out my gameplay of Hayato. =) Its not the sharpest quality in the world but it still looks great to me. Its the video thats underneath this one if you want to see.

This has to be one of my favorite fighting games of all time. This is also the only Gaming in the Clinton years review I completely agree. The only thing I would add to it was that the game is ideal for fighting game beginners, or as a first game for new gamers. As this game is easy and basic, witch would iedal for there current lack of skill.
Do you enjoy embarassing yourself by showing that your only method of getting through half these fights is hitting a single button over and over while putting graphics, FMV and other non-gameplay elements at the top of your list of priorities? I'm beginning to wonder if the only reason you find fighting games hard is your inability to win by just turning on auto-fire.

I don't know why he calls it a "Street Fighting game". It's not anything like Street Fighter. It's pretty much Soul Blade in the future. Even the controls are identical to Soul Blade. I loved it though. I just wish it had been more popular.
you know what i mean. it may be a sequel, but its pretty much the same game with added characters. they even are wearing the same costumes, same locations too. enhanced graphics on the dreamcast of course. played em both and still own the dreamcast version. played it the other actually, still a great game. i think Darkstalkers and this game have some of the most unusual and best characters outta the capcom series. still own the import version of Vampire Savior on the dreamcast. awesome game!
No its not. Plasma Sword is a lot closer to the traditional Capcom fighters than the first Star Gladiator. Its basically a 2D game with 3D graphics with a ton of clone characters. SG actually uses 3D movement, ring outs and takes a bit more strategy IMO.
well, ive had em both and never noticed any difference between the two other than upgraded graphics and a ton of more characters on the dreamcast version. i think the fighting was basically the same. seemed like 3d movement to me. i think plasma sword has some of the best capcom fighters still. that and darkstalkers of course. i do like street fighter as well and especially the new SF4. its amazing!

This game was easily abusable with the counter system especially during predictable combo's but man, I had such fond memories of this game. The endings did sorta suck but who cared about the ending? I was pretty good with Bilstein_^) The AI is really dumb but it played pretty smoothly and it was a lot of fun back in the day! Great game for the time, maybe not so much now.
