Listen to the report here. The cause of the crash was known from the moment it happened. He informed the ATC(s) and he certainly would have informed anyone else who would have asked, which includes presumably the airline administration and investigators. Therefore, that information would have been widely available - hours afterward - when this report was filed. Instead of saying that "bird impact" was suspected, they consciously chose to use the opportunity to keep the fear of "terrorism" alive.

The pilot, Chesley is the hero, he did a great job gliding the plane into the water. Experience and perhaps some devine intervention saved all those people. Truly amazing job Mr. Sullenberg!

Yes, they are all heroes. So are the air traffic controllers who kept their cool, and kept other air traffic flowing smoothly. And let us not forget the ferry boat Captains, and the excellent rescue personnel who delivered everyone to safety after the plane had been brought down!!

im a religious guy but this guy had whatever anyone wants to call it on his side, luck, an angel, god... whatever but my friends father is a piolot he said its extreamly difficult to land a plane on one engine nearly impossible to do it without an engine everything has to be perfect tryin to level off a plane for impact without any thrust to make it level is amazing! regardless if u think god had anything to do with it you people are missing the point who cares they all lived which is remarkable

Just a reminder, their were 2 pilots in that plane, not one. The captain of course gets all the credit, but I guarantee you the co pilot was going through the emergency checklist for ditching all the way down.
