It started 10 years ago on the GBA, and the first three were all Japan exclusives. Trials and Tribulations (or as it was known as in Japan - Gyakuten Saiban 3) came out for the first time in 2004. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was released in 2005.

@mattiatorX Haha yeah, the Phoenix Wright trailers are undoubtedly some of the corniest and worst trailers ever made. They got better with Apollo Justice, but they only really started to make real, proper trailers with the Miles Edgeworth games. Don't get me wrong, the games are awesome. But the trailers are terrible.

It's not a stupid question. I don't believe that you can go to jail if you were to prove someone innocent of a crime if you weren't involved in any way unless you had meddled with the evidence or done something illegal to turn the jury in your favor like bribes or blackmail.

Some of it is theoretical but that's the job of a defense lawyer, even if your client is guilty you have to prove him not guilty. That's a constant struggle with a defense lawyer I believe.

For me, Justice for All was my FAVORITE. The storyline, especially the final case, was EPIC. In my opinion, JFA was the thing that established almost everything that made T&T good.

Meh, this one was ok, but it never really hit that high note with me, I liked how in PW:AA, that all the cases seemed to be linked together.

However, this one had absolutely zero links between cases, making each case feel like a different world, unlike PW:AA, where it felt like each case was just an episode in a larger story.

The last case was rather godly.

Other then that, It saddened my slightly, not that it wasn't a good game, just not as great.

In addition to all your points, Justice for All was missing one important aspect for me: the music. The music in this game is just nowhere as good compared to the first and third games. The themes when raising an objection and cornering the person on the stand simply lacked the ambience and mood.
