no, the piecing lines on this particular foundation will not wash out. this will be my batting and then I will also have a backing. plenty warm enough with three layers of cotton, especially in florida. have fun and be sure and try it. I eventually had my own stamps made so I didn't have to buy the foundations. You need a good stamp place to do that for you. have fun, happy piecing.
