  • Do I need to powder after foundation application with occ?

  • Can you use any foundation you like?:)can anyone please tell me

  • this is like the most helpful video I can find on youtube about airbrush foundation and it's coming from a guy lol

  • for you cheapos just use a hair dryer

  • I would like to see him apply full make-up. He did a great job on this video.

  • Do you use a sparmax airbrush??.Is it good for hobby??.

  • Hi Koren! The foundation im using is thick in consistency, do you recommend using foundation thinners? if so which one?? I would really like to airbrush with my current foundation.

  • @ theKettleXBlack

As a beginner i purchased the Dinair system which is so easy to use. Also they have an option to send in a picture of yourself and they will color match you for free!! They have very helpful videos on their website and free lifetime assistance over the phone. It is on of the cheapest airbrush systems (price

wise) that i have found so far. their starter kit is only about $199 and it comes with everything including a cleaning solution. I will make a video also so stay tuned!!

  • How do you apply the airbrush foundation so that it covers imperfections, like acne scars or severe discoloration, without looking cakey (I've concealed first)? Also I've had problems with smudging as I get oily and accidentally touch it. I've waited for it to dry as well as set with a light powder. Am I just spraying too much?

  • Is Luminess an alright system for beginners? It seems to be the most inexpensive that I've seen, but its reviews on MakeupAlley are not the best. Should I opt for maybe a Temptu or Dinair system instead? Since it's a larger investment (I've never spent more than seventy-ish dollars on a single product before) I want to be happy with it > <

  • Love your videos and positive energy! just got my airbrush kit and cannot wait to try out all of the new techniques.

If no one has ever told you-- Thank YOU! you give so much hope and inspiration to budding makeup artists... and that's something that cannot be purchased. Your Priceless!

  • How does airbrushing do on dry skin? The problem I have with regular foundations is they always adhere to the dry patches on my face. Will this be a problem with airbrush foundation also?

  • Love Love your video ... You could be amazing teacher! I love to watch your video ... it's really details and easy to understand! .. those things to me are really important, as the beginner I love to build the foundation with all of that special instruction that yo'll learn from either your own experiment or you practice it on somebody else! So keeping up, more video like this please!! ...

  • hi Koen, Thanks for the videos, i'm a mortician and just purchased an airbrush system, the result and fantastic, and thanks to your videos i'm getting better at it, keep up the good work.

  • Do I have to use the dinair eyeshadows and blush with the airbrush foundation or can I use my regular make up once the foundation has set?

    Love ur vids

    xoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  • I just bought an airbrush and I was wondering if I can use liquid foundation instead or airbrush foundation? And if yes, do you have any recommendations?

  • can you use your own foundation in this air brush?

    like a YSL?

  • @ssips720 I wouldn't know, but I think that would clog up the system.

  • Hey Koren, what is an easy test to see if a client is sensitive to silicone or not? I don't want to be just spraying it over their whole face and then finding out all about it a few days later! xxx

  • hi enkore, one question, did i could use regular foundation instead of the airbrush formulated one?

    Thanks

  • can i use any concealer ????

  • should we use a moisturizer first before the primer or before the foundation?

  • Hi Koren, thanks for your airbrushing videos. Made my first attempt today and it seemed like I was using up all the product really fast (I ended up using like 12 drops). I turned the psi down to 8-10 which helped. Is it OK to pull all the way back on the "trigger" or do you sometimes pull back lightly for different spray/coverage? Also, when/why do you use a mixing medium to thin some foundations? Thanks again, your videos really helped me get started.

  • Amazing! Great work

  • i bought the luminessAir airbrushing system and i love it. have u tried it? i absolutely looove airbrushing, it's way quicker and the makeup feels so light and covers great. it only took me to use it one time to get the hang of using the airbursh, now i'm addicted i won't go back to mineral makeup..and i def love that luminess is water based as well!!! are u a make up artist?? just curious ur very knowledgeable :) i'm a new fan

  • I really enjoy watching your videos! They are so informative and you are such a nice person :) keep on the great work!

  • I like you! :-) You seem like a really kind person and your videos are excellent! Thanks soooo much Koren!

  • My other concern is not finding the right shade for the airbrush foundation? I don't want to spend all that money and later find out that they don't have the right shade for me. Do they help you find the foundation for you? Or can we use the foundation from any retail store? Thanks !!

  • can we use bronzer/blush/powder/ on top of the airbrush? I just want to have really good coverage of foundation and be able to use bronzer/blush/powder too. Is that possible?

  • iv love you man

  • nice video, very helpful, but i wonder if you can buy any spray on foundation, like in a bottle that you just spray on to you face? if you know any spray on foundation, please let me know. :-)

  • are you Filipino? coz in your intro "HOY koren(sp? sorry) stop using my lipistik!" XDD

  • I just ordered the OCC cosmetics Airbrush set #1 yesterday! I am SOOO excited

  • i was wondering how to find out if you are alergic to silicon.. i wouldnt wat to have an aleric reaction by putting a fondation on my face i was allergic to.. could you tell us how to test that please?? <3

  • @94cubisa well, you could go to the doctors or just do what regular hair dye guides say. "put a drop of hair dye on your skin behind your ear for up to 48 hours, if you feel allergic reactions or if the area is VERY red youre most likely allergic" You could SOMEHOW do that with the foundation i guess. a little patch of skin to be tested, anywhere you want, but with hair dyes behind the ear is not visible because it tints your skin :d BUT YOU could do like a hand test or something. or neck.

  • How to test for an allergy to silicone: Start with by using a silicone based product. You're looking for dimethicone, dimethiconol, or Cyclomethicone to be high on the ingredients list. As strange as it may sound, KY Intrigue and other silicone lubricants are made purely from silicone and therefore make the perfect test product. Sample the product on a small patch of skin somewhere discreet but where the skin is as sensitive as it is on your face, like your neck. Wait 48 hrs.

  • This looks so easy! thank you so much korin! ive always wanted to see airbrush makeup is done! =)

  • ive always wondered- wouldnt this get in ur eyes?

  • Hi EnKore, your channel is so informative, I've learned so much from u<3

I've recently watched a video using airbrush with Mineral Power Foundation! In the video, she mixed Mineral Power Foundation with Mehron Mixing Liquid to a "watery" consistency so that the mixture can spray through the gun without blocking it.

I was wondering can I substitute Mehron Mixing Liquid with something ealse?Like the Homemade Mixing Medium that you taught us?

Thanks so much! Really LOVE your channel!

  • Sorry! It should be Mineral Powder Foundation

  • Love the theme music

  • can you tell us which air brush tools you recommend?

like i've been looking into a lot of airbrush brands, but dont know what to BUY or what is GOOD

  • Gorgeous effect ! I wish I would be able to do that oneday :-)

  • Don't you think that it's personal, and it is no-one's business ? We're here to learn makeup, not to get a guy, right ? So does it really matter if he's straight or gay ? I don't think so.

  • Oh lord, here we go again. Why even ask that question? It has no relevance to this video. Don't worry about whether he is gay or straight. Worry about yourself.

  • can you use nontemptu makeup in the temptu system?

  • no you can't. temptu makes special air pods that are made specifically for the temptu airbrush system. if you want to find out more u can go to sephora (dot) com and type in temptu in the search and it will show you the system as well as the air pods i was talkin about. hope this helps.

  • yes you can

  • EnKore what do you think about MakeupEnvy tutorial....she actually had a great tutorial...she actually used Temptu..and I loved the results it left!

  • You are amazing! :)

  • Thanks for uploading this!!! I've been searching for a good airbrush video on Youtube for sometime now. You did an amazing job explaining everything.

  • if you wear anything over your eyes, you will have a difference in color. airbrushing is a very fine light mist...even hairspray is thicker. the best thing would be to just close your eyes for the few seconds it takes to spray the eye area. otherwise you will have a patchy finish and then have to reapply in the missed areas. anything other than the airbrrushing will also give it a differnet effect on the skin making it look different and uneven still.

  • ok...in your intro thing, what does it say after that screeching sound? lol

  • i love u!!!! i already have a luminess air...but i havent really used it because the foundation that came with it looks kinda orange...and i was afraid of using another brand of water based makeup, but im definitely going to try the one ur using! thanks for the tutorial.

  • I do a lot of fall out with the eyeshadow... I want to ask you if I can do eyes first and then do the foundation. I prefer doing eye makeup with brushes, but I loooove the way airbrush foundation looks... :/ what do you recomend?

  • You make it look so easy. Makes me want to run out and buy an airbrush.

  • Hi Koren, Thank you so much for doing this series. I have always wanted to know more about this and how to do it. Thanks again this is so informative.

  • What's your favorite Airbrush gun? :] Great vid!

  • will this cover skin imperfections at all? or do you have to conceal

  • He shows this in the vid, you may want to conceal *before* applying airbrushed foundation. It's not necessary, but it can give an extra help.

  • ahahahahaha what does that cut off say? Ey koren stop using my lipastick? lol

  • is that HappySlip's voice btw?

  • does anybody know WHY when i watch any video especially a longgg one it wont load it takes a really long time then it CONSTANTLY freezes :( someone pls respond? i would greatly appreciate it

  • mayb due to the speed of ur internet connection ~u using wifi or something?

  • mine does too

  • What kind of concealer can you use with the airbrush foundations?

Do you need to use a different concealer if you are using water-based foundation vs. a silicone based foundation?

Thanks for doing this series Koren! I love your videos.

  • cool yaaay im loving it!

  • wow, thats amazingg

  • @MsLc1234 - those are becoming more and more popular, now that Sephora sells them. I will definitely look into checking it out!

  • One day i'll get one! Thanks for the video

  • You need to tell me how you get your teeth so white!!

  • love this airbrush series! looking forward to the next one! thank you!

  • Kore, have you ever heard of Dermablend?? I just love it. It's amazing stuff.

  • Koren doesn't the foundation stick to your brows hair? How can you get rid of it when you're done without spoiling the face?

  • I've been using airbrush for a year and have never had it stick to my eyelashes or eyebrows.

  • thank you for sharing your experience

  • airbrush makeup once goes through the gun emits opposite ion that hairs do, therefore it retracts the product and doesnt stick to hair. There are special airbrush products designed for hair.

  • thank you very much for your answer, very informative! Now I know another interesting fact about makeup :-)

  • the result was soo good :O

  • is airbrushing make up suitable for acne prone skin n w/ large pores

  • @mariellzy -yes, because airbrush foundation lays on the surface of the skin and not forced through or sink into the pores.

  • hey just wondering what types of primers (cream types, powders, or even brand names...) you can use under airbrush makeup. i saw your vid on i think it was nurturing force primer and you mentioned some primers can cause your airbrush makeup to crack... so what kinds of primers can you use with water based makeup and which with silicone based makeup?

  • yes Nurturing Force is designed for airbrush makeup. You can use it for both waterbase and silcone base.

  • Comment removed

  • awesome. thanks so much for all your great information and tips. are there any other primers you can use with airbrush makeup? i have bad acne scars and huge pores so i need a primer...

  • It looks as if you use way less product then you use without an airbrush, is this true?

  • Yes - you use less products when airbrushing

  • I know how to airbrush on paper, and have entertained the idea of trying to do airbrush makeup on others..

but never thought for a second that i'd be able to do it on myself! I'm really impressed by this video! I didn't think it was possible!

  • Air brushing M.U....seems like alot of work to me...I mean especially if u are doing a wedding party....you want to make sure they are wearing scarves and or other protective gear...Although,I do like the finish...and its good to have if someone requests it..but I couldn't see myself using this all the time..I like traditional makeup..If i did..I think it would be just for foundation..cause the finish is flawless..~ Thx for sharing!~:D

  • Hi, great tips, i would have loved to have seen a before and after pic at the end!

  • YOU ARE A-W-E-S-O-M-E :)

  • I`m so excited w/ the nxt video...I`m really curious w/ this airbrushing make up...after watching your video I`ve learned so much...Thankz

  • you know what Enkore, you are one of the few gurus That actually took the time to put a disclaimer, you even put if your earning commisions. For that I think your awesome.

And there are alot of "gurus" I am giving a serious side eye to.

  • I hope to see you in the bay area !!

  • Hi Koen, I was wondering if you can conceal blemishes using airbrush by just increasing the pressure in the compressor and airbrushing closer to the skin than usual??

  • you dont want to increase the psi higher than whats comfortable to the skin, or else it will get irritated from the air blast. If it doesnt need much coverage, the airbrush foundation might be enough to cover. If it's a major conceal job, then a concealer is best.

  • Koren..you're still my number 1 beauty guru on YT... :D you're very helpful and thanks so so much for sharing all your knowledge with us... hope this comment brighten up your day.. hugs!!

  • great! i just invested in my compressor for my kit! I'm really excited to start using it.

  • Your videos are always SO helpful!

You so nice and down to earth :)

    Thank you!

  • wow! your an amazing artist! thank you for this vid!

  • Amazzzzzzing! I was considering buying an airbrush system for personal use, but I was disappointed when I had airbrush makeup done for a formal event and it didnt cover my flaws. I might as well not have hired the makeup artist and done it my self. Now I see that it is defintely great at concealing and that my experience may have been due to the makeup artist...not the airbrush system it self...

  • thats a shame it didn't turn out great. You probably would of been best doing your own makeup :)

  • Koren you are absolutely amazing, a wealth of knowledge and so fun to watch! You helped me decide that I want to buy airbrush foundation from OCC it's so gorgeous on. I was going back and forth with it for quite some time but I didn't do it because I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not. Such a great video, so informative and such great quality
