No way he should have been given a license. The exemptions were never meant to be used this way. Normally you have to have a high finish in the second-level formula or win a major championship in F3; Kimi never even raced in F3. There's a big difference between racing and testing, and the incidents you can get away with in small cars like F3 or FRenault will get someone killed in F1.

@LRT2432 Senna, Stewart, Barrichello, Coulthard moved from F3 to F1. Raikkonen going from Formula Renault to F1 wasn't really as much as a jump as some made it out to be. It was the fact he had done so little races in the category.
