@XarynLucifer Another thing to consider is that modern eastern and western slaves were forbidden to own property of any kind, Hebrew slaves still owned property, would take part in businesses and borrow money or "buy out" the contract (known as a ‘quitrent’) that their family had made. They were also able to appear in court as witnesses, plaintiffs, and defendants unlike the slaves during the 1700’s and 1800’s that you are confused with.

@XarynLucifer There is no choice in a person being born male or female, black, white, red or whatever color skin pigmentation. However, a person makes a choice to sin. There is a huge difference. To say that homosexuality is OK is to say that other sins are OK such as adultery, lying, stealing, murder, hate, worry and a whole list of sins. There's nothing wrong with being gay. While people have a right to disagree with homosexuality, and should be allowed to express their views, I think that gays have a right to get married. Religious claims cannot be proven or disproven, which is why they are only convincing to people that already believe them.

Finally, many of the Old Testament rules were for only a certain time period, sanitation, cooking procedures, sacrifices, etc. The sins of homosexuality are universal with both the Old and New Testaments which denotes that it’s much more serious than needing a haircut or eating pork.

God would never demand someone to do or not do something that would be impossible for them to do. Homosexual behavior and activity is of satan (as all sin is) and is not mental illness since God would not judge a person who was ill or if something was impossible for them to control (mental illness). Deliverance is available through Jesus.

Requests by homosexual advocacy groups led to a couple of dictionaries including the word ‘homophobia’ for ‘political correctness’ and ‘courtesy’ to a small group of people (less than 2% of the world population). There's nothing wrong about being Christian, other religion or atheist, as long as you don't shove it down other people's throats. Christian people who say homosexuality is wrong say it is wrong because the bible says it is so. What I don't understand in this whole discussion is, the conservatives constantly refer to the freedom of speech, which is true, there is a freedom of speech, but that also means that people are allowed to say that homosexuality is nothing else than natural. But when it comes to the conservatives they only accept the freedom of speech when it comes to what they believe in. So this is actually nothing else than completely ridiculous.

And the blood of Jesus (the Lamb Who was slain) became the final sacrifice that was the blood of animals before He shed His own blood and died on the cross for the remission of our sins.

@XarynLucifer Another thing to consider is that modern eastern and western slaves were forbidden to own property of any kind, Hebrew slaves still owned property, would take part in businesses and borrow money or "buy out" the contract (known as a ‘quitrent’) that their family had made. They were also able to appear in court as witnesses, plaintiffs, and defendants unlike the slaves during the 1700’s and 1800’s that you are confused with.

@XarynLucifer Here’s what you need to understand. Slavery as interpreted from Hebrew was always voluntary and was known as a self-sale, family sale or indentured servitude. These relationships were usually initiated by the slave as a remedy for poverty or to resolve family debts. Poor families would sometimes sell their children as slaves. Were this situation like modern western slavery, we could justifiably condemn the practice but the reality is that this was of great benefit to the child.

Paul was a slave (servant) to all people. 1 Corinthians 9:19 A waiter or waitress could say “I’m your slave” or “I’m your servant” or “I’m your waiter or waitress” (all the same things) during a meal at a restaurant for instance.

They worked in the fields, did housework and did other chores and were referred to as ‘slaves’.

Both Christians and Muslims are guilty of over a millennium of terrorism, extortion, and murder. In the Middle-Ages the Church was more ruthless than the Muslims. That began to change when Europe entered the Renaissance. The Muslim world went the opposite direction and embraced fanaticism and ridiculous laws taken from the Koran. There's nothing wrong with being gay. While people have a right to disagree with homosexuality, and should be allowed to express their views, I think that gays have a right to get married. Religious claims cannot be proven or disproven, which is why they are only convincing to people that already believe them.

There's nothing wrong with having a rulebook or code of ethics per se, but when one thinks that such a rule book is given by God himself, one is choosing a flight from reality. @giramino What I don't understand is why Christians get really up in arms about homosexuality but still cut their hair and shave. Leviticus also said no beard trimming or hair cuts but, somehow, Christians seem to forget that one. Regardless, I find it hard to respect anyone who worships a god that created free will AND objective morals/eternal punishment. Combine that with pre-determinism and its clear that Yahweh created people just to torture them forever, what a nice guy.

Finally, many of the Old Testament rules were for only a certain time period, sanitation, cooking procedures, sacrifices, etc. The sins of homosexuality are universal with both the Old and New Testaments which denotes that it’s much more serious than needing a haircut or eating pork.

God would never demand someone to do or not do something that would be impossible for them to do. Requests by homosexual advocacy groups led to a couple of dictionaries including the word ‘homophobia’ for ‘political correctness’ and ‘courtesy’ to a small group of people (less than 2% of the world population). There's nothing wrong about being Christian, other religion or atheist, as long as you don't shove it down other people's throats. Christian people who say homosexuality is wrong say it is wrong because the bible says it is so. Also as a Catholic myself let me say that the Bible is nothing else than a few texts written thousands of years ago about the way the people saw the world then. Interesting from a historical point of few, but certainly no way to live your life today.
If you consider that the Bible allows parents to sell their children as slaves or demands death penalty for eating shrimp, I think we can all agree that this may have made sense 2000 years ago but certainly not today.

And the blood of Jesus (the Lamb Who was slain) became the final sacrifice that was the blood of animals before He shed His own blood and died on the cross for the remission of our sins.

The Bible teaches that no one is without sin except our Savior Jesus. For instance, a person may be very aware that telling a lie is wrong and sinful but tells someone a lie regardless, or commits adultery, or steals or whatever. Because someone failed, knowing their error, does not justify homosexuality or any other sin.

@MamaMario13 As I mentioned before, accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and He will deliver you from the curse of the sin of homosexuality or any other sin. Jesus has already died for your sins and taken the stripes that will heal you. You must decide to accept Him however since God gave you a free will. Jesus successfully delivers those in bondage to the sin of homosexuality daily. Please know that God is just and would never demand you do something that is impossible for you to do.

Does any Christian commenting on this video realize just how hurtful what they're writing is? For any person that will always go out of their way to be good to others, it's ugly and distressing behavior. Homosexuals are what they are, deal with it, they've always been around and they always will be. Considering some of the things done in the name of God and religion (Crusades, inquisitions, witch hunts, etc.), maybe Christians shouldn't be throwing stones in glass houses.

@herpeskitten Yes, homosexuality has been around for a long time and is still just as much a sin today as it was in the time of Abraham during the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. If you are involved in a sin against God and have therefore insulted His followers, then you can expect criticism in exactly the same manner as God has criticized this disgusting sin for generations. It’s one thing to be out of control of your behavior but then another to actually criticize those who oppose your sin.

@giramino We police the populace, not the soul. No one has the right to judge the soul but God, and in verbally damning these people, that's what you do. All I see is a large amount of people wasting their time protesting a movement of acceptance that is already well on its way to culmination, either now or several years down the road. Regardless of the gift of Freewill, I highly doubt that God is so powerless as to be unable to erase from the world something that you so claim insulted him.

That's not only human nature but something that is given at the new spiritual birth. And yes God has done something about sin. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus to forgive and set free those who are involved in a sin such as homosexuality. We must accept this free gift by our own God given free will. There are some who don't know the difference between right and wrong.

@nym685 There are plenty of ex-gays (in case you didn't know), and their testimony creates huge holes in the same-sex attraction argument. That said, I have no problem with what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home. I draw the line when they try to force it on my kids in school or on the street. Gay pride parades? Really?

All we need to do to see how wrong it is to discriminate against people for their sexual orientation is to substitute a race (white, black, asian, etc...pick one) for gay or homosexual. If these supposed "moral" people did that they would sound like the whites fighting against black emancipation in the '60's. It just goes to show that religious, any religious, people do not have morals. They have a set of rules given to them by a holy dictator.

Someone born a certain race or gender is something the person has absolutely no control over. There is quite a difference in the point you attempt to make which is completely invalid and does not apply at all. And your sin of homosexuality is a sin against God not any certain Christian. It is God you must answer to on judgement day.

The gays only want to desecrate religon through thier "marriages". They want to stomp out anything conservative or pure. It is mean, hateful and wrong. I am not allowed to say anything about my belief that it is wrong in my community or they harrass me horribly. I'm sorry but 'god' (whether he is real or not) is not the only way to live, there is VERY little evidence for his presence, whereas the alternative of evolution has a TON of evidence (embryology, fossils, sedimentation deposits, the presence and similarities of DNA, RNA and proteins in EVERY living thing, just to name a few). It would be REALLY nice is people didn't rely on one book to tell them what is right and what is wrong, there is nothing sinful about me, why can't I just be accepted?

May I suggest reading the New Testament for updates on what to eat and wear. It seems you're basing information on some Old Testament scriptures only. Youll also discover that homosexuality is forbidden in the New Testament in addition to the Old Testament, a confirmation of it being 'an abomination' to God and sinful behavior.

Yes it's important to read and of course I do. But for instance, if a homosexual writes in a book something like, "I cant change my behavior", then after you read the book, you base your beliefs on something a homosexual wrote about himself or herself. That obviously does not make it correct information whereas the Bible is the Holy Spirit inspired Word of God and infallible. God is also timeless and never changes.

Would it not be terribly unfair for God to forbid your sin of homosexuality if you had no control over your behavior? It would be the same as God proclaiming that being born Indian, African or Caucasian or being born as a woman was sinful. You have no control concerning what race or gender you are born and God would never forbid you to do anything you had no control over. You are attempting to justify your sin of homosexuality by comparing 'sin' to 'race' or 'gender' which is absolutely absurd.

No God wants those who are in bondage of sin and away from His Word to be delivered and set free by the blood of Jesus. Homosexuality is a sin the same as any other sin. It would be unjust of God to demand for someone to not sin knowing it was impossible for them. Would a parent expect their 2 month old child to drive a car or anything else impossible?

The point of the comment was not centered on the 'rape' but the fact that nobody there attempted to help the girl and 'did nothing'. The same point could be made with the elderly lady that fell on a busy street in NY and nobody helped her or even called for help for hours. Christians are only doing what they have been told to do and in love help you as a friend would help you. Perhaps you are being informed since you may not actually know the difference between right and wrong.
