I have to say that AOD Lara looked and acted way better. There's nothing wrong with this Lara, other than the fact that she's turning into a sex symbol like in Legend. Underworld patched things up by giving us a darker, more driven Lara, shown evidently here. Her emotions have drove her to a sinister and dark point, the hammer being her gun, and Natla's the fucking trigger.
Also I hate when people say Core Design was better...argh! They drove Tomb Raider into the ground. Tomb Raider 1 and 2 were labors of love and it shows, the rest were just churned out year after year to make money. Lara fell into complete irrelevance with them. Angel of Darkness could have been amazing but for every one thing good there were six glitches to go along with it. Core Design blew it, Tomb Raider needs to evolve to survive in the current market.

Many people had extreme bugs in AOD, I myself had a screaming bug, voice bugs, numerous game play bugs ( One that prevented advancement in the game in the hall of seasons) Underworld had some bugs like invisible walls and Lara getting caught on the environment but no serious bugs. I had 3 copies of AOD (one for pc) and all had serious bugs.

@flamesdemon19 TR:A was very good I thought. My biggest issue with Legend and Underworld is the lack of isolation and jumpy moments. Now that the PSN have the old Tomb Raider games I forgot how scary they could be silence and then suddenly something would burst at you. They managed to capture that feeling in TR:A and need to see that Tomb Raider fans are happy to sit and play a game for a good 20-30 hours rather than the stream lined levels of TR:U and Legend.

i like how natla looks in this. in anniversary, i dont get it, cos the whole point in it was to totally revamp it and make everything a bit more realistic, but i think they made natla look typically evil...like they do in cartoons etc. she looked sorta normal in tr1 aswell! ah! i just love tomb raider :)

@b1LaK0c She most probably believes it was Amanda that ordered the doppleganger attack Lara's home and the ones living in it in order to get her peruvian rock-artifact back. She assumed the doppleganger did not have free will, which was true but eventually it was Natla controling its actions.

This has got to be the high point of Crystal Dynamics Lara's childishness. She's bashing things like an angry teenager just to see her already dead mom lol.
I miss the old Lara. She was bitchy in a cool way.
But at the time of this cutscene, she doesn't know that her mum is dead, does she? =P
If someone, like Lara, had lost their mum and was told that they could have one last chance to see them again, methinks they might take that offer up. And stop anyone who tries to get in their way of it.
I think it's nice that Crystal are trying to implement a proper storyline, and Lara's past into the games. :)
Nyeh, I just think it was an incredibly wrong descision to insert the whole mommy plot. Because Lara Croft has always been all about her pure love for shiny objects and buried treasures/secrets. That's what drove her, not her dead parents. TRU is a very good game, but the plot is absoloute crap in my opinion. (And you may disagree with it as much as you like. :p But it won't change, just for the record.)
I do understand where you're coming from. :) You're not the only one to dislike the new plot, and I suppose it was nice as well when Lara had a more carefree attitude. :P

Well, if anyone can answer me, I really appreciate it. Why Lara is refering to Amanda when talking about her home and Alistaire? Wasn't it the doppleganger that did it?

@b1LaK0c because of the thing the doppleganger stole...that stone wich amanda found in peru...thats how she knew amanda was responsable for the homeinvasion

@b1LaK0c She most probably believes it was Amanda that ordered the doppleganger attack Lara's home and the ones living in it in order to get her peruvian rock-artifact back. She assumed the doppleganger did not have free will, which was true but eventually it was Natla controling its actions.

This has got to be the high point of Crystal Dynamics Lara's childishness. She's bashing things like an angry teenager just to see her already dead mom lol.

If someone, like Lara, had lost their mum and was told that they could have one last chance to see them again, methinks they might take that offer up. And stop anyone who tries to get in their way of it.
I think it's nice that Crystal are trying to implement a proper storyline, and Lara's past into the games. :)

Nyeh, I just think it was an incredibly wrong descision to insert the whole mommy plot. Because Lara Croft has always been all about her pure love for shiny objects and buried treasures/secrets. That's what drove her, not her dead parents. TRU is a very good game, but the plot is absoloute crap in my opinion. (And you may disagree with it as much as you like. :p But it won't change, just for the record.)

I do understand where you're coming from. :) You're not the only one to dislike the new plot, and I suppose it was nice as well when Lara had a more carefree attitude. :P

@danitiwa Wat're u talking abt??? I think Legend was like one of the best TR games, tht game had an artifact apart from the Amanda/mum plot.. the Excalibur?! I dont think Lara is all about treasures, she is a human too. The mum plot was a huge secret. I love the way she shoots in air while interrogating Amanda (the climax), how desperately she wanted to meet her mother.

ps. This cutscenes is one of the best cutscenes in the history of Tomb Raider, absolutely amazing.

@danitiwa yeah she was cool and all but she didnt even seem that human she killed her first person in the orignal tomb raider and didnt even hesitate or flinch were as she showed emtion in anniversary and also some things do actully get on her nerves and piss her off. i think crystal have made lara more realistic but i love her in all games :)

the dopplegangers face before she threw amanda was really weird, it was like a babys face thinking about summin. They should add a male major character in Tomb Raider after Tomb Raider Underworld. Cuz all you see is girls in this part, doppleganger amanda natla and lara!!!not to be sexist or anything...

I'm pretty sure that's Lara screaming "NOOO!" Since she was still extremely pissed off. Natla was still talking when Lara screamed and broke the glass. If you listen carefully you should make it out.

Yes, you use the hammer in the level just before this cutscene (Rituals Old), and also the final levels. :)
