  • any rubber well laid isnt wasted rubber.

  • sounds like a holeset to me...

  • cool, it sound like a detroit when the rpms are high enough:P

  • what tires you running on your truck? looks good.

i was just wondering cause i just bought some of the stock michelins 265/75/16 for mine & i'm looking for something bigger, but not sure what would look good.

  • what year is this

  • an soundin

  • 2nd generation Rams are some of the best looking trucks around.

  • @LGLG69 no 1st gens

  • NICE!

  • any chance u might wanna sell it?

  • any mods

  • what upgades do you have in it

  • that's a hot truck!!

  • Yea but you can listen to it and tell that its a VP truck

  • Hate to tell you, but thats a 24v..

  • unless it was an early 98

  • Comment removed

  • any other mods to the truck besides the exhaust?

  • Love those 12v cummins.

  • what makes that blow off valve soo damn loud sounds badass

  • that was just his intake

  • damn that kicks ass

  • it doesnt have a blow off valve. i have the same truck, it only makes that noise after you have built up alot of boost and take you foot off the gas.

  • thats very bad for your turbo too so i wouldnt recommend doing it

  • doing what?

  • @jpgdub yeah man letting off the throttle to quick and causing your turbo to go "woo woo woo woo" under boost causes turbo surge. This isn't the best for the blades inside because it will eventually wear out your bearrings or break the shaft. They are really prone to breaking on the hx series turbos i believe. Sick sounding truck though i have a 04.

  • he's letting off the fuel pedal to quckly it is really bad for the turbo to do it.. But hey its an old truck and STILL RUNS GOOD. Diesels don't have blow off valves or wastegates tina

  • fuck single staks that gay got to have to dual staks looks and sounds better

  • @bobby21j too bad its a VP44

  • @bobby21j If your truck is blowing black coal, to much fuel and not enough air is being burned in the combustion chamber. When I see an idiot rev his diesel to blow coal I just laugh my ass off at his stupid self.

  • @1971Copperhead1968 haha must suck to be you. all jelous in such... must not know much about diesels eh? just trying to be a smart ass. you if mabey owed a diesel that you moded you will know its very hard to not have a diesel smoke under load with lots of mods. even with huge turbos theres allways going to be smoke befor those turbos spool. then there will still be a light haze or more no matter what.

  • @RM250D8rzr If it sucks to be me I haven't noticed. I drive a CAT C15 and normally average 5.9mpg on cross country turns. The diesel engine's combustion is very in-efficient. A turbocharger helps the combustion process to be more efficient than a naturally aspirated diesel engine. True, turbo-lag is present on all turbocharger equipped engines, and black smoke may be present 'til turbos catch up. But depressing the throttle to put engine under load just for the black smoke is stupid.

  • @1971Copperhead1968 well we do this to put the engine under load to boost launch so when we get the green we have full boost have a much faster run time. and you think diesels are inefficient? there about 30 % more efficient in useing all of the fuel and makeing less heat. then a gas engine (heat is lost energy from the fuel) thats why it takes diesels so long to warm up. proven 30% better avarage.

  • @RM250D8rzr When I made my first comment it was not meant towards someone actually using their diesel, like a drag racer or a truck/tractor puller might do. I am mainly talking about the ones who cruise the strip on friday night driving their diesel and jack rabbit starting every light and blowing black coal. I know emissions kill fuel economy. The engine I drive is 05 I think. Dodge RAM with the CUMMINS is by far better than a ISUZU diesels in the Chevys and GMC trucks. Navistar in FORD cool.

  • @1971Copperhead1968 yes but mabey those guys who are haveing fun on a friday night are those drag racers and sled pullers. lol im sure 80% of them are soo. plus most guys like to smoke out people in little civics that are riced out or another diesel truck for fun. theres alot of moded diesel trucks going around town and i dont normaly see them makeing black smoke on purpose. i guess its differnt in ur town

  • @1971Copperhead1968 unless its a diesel equiped with all of the new emission stuff from 07 and up when alot of them had to start useing EGR treatments. fuel economy sufferd.

  • @bobby21j Its A 24-valve Cummins you FUCKING IDIOT!!! It has an electroncially controlled VP44 pump!!! NOT a P7100 unless he has doen extensive work to swap a P7100 and with the lack of smoke I doubt its a P-pump.

Diesel are NOT about "rolling coal" you dickless idiot!!! Stick to your fucking Honda Civic moron. Im sick of you fuckers giving the real diesel guys a bad name.

  • @Xx69roadrunnerxX im not a fucking idiot if i must say, i didnt post that, one of my idiot friends did i own a 12v an do all the work myself, and no i dont give diesel a bad name, i could care less about laying clouds or not. Im not gonna crank my pump just to load a bunch of fuel into my engine that boost wont clean up. im all about finding parts that compliment eachother to make big, strong, reliable horsepower. And no i do not drive a honda civic, i drive a 94 SCLB 12v Thank you.

  • @bobby21j If so then, I appoligize. Well said.

  • @bobby21j

That truck doesn't have a p7100 it has an electronic unit call the vp44

  • @yougot90hot i know this, two comments under i got done explaining how someone got onto my account and posted random, INCORRCT comments in videos. first gens.. 89-93 utilized the mechanical ve rotary style pump ...second gens 94-98 utilize the p7100 piston style pump..second gen 24v's 98 1/2 - 02 have use the VP44..3rd gen 24v's from 03-7 5.9 and from 07 1/2 6.7's till now use the CP3's..

  • @bobby21j

i think your about to have the fucking world record for apologies.

im sorry for basically calling you a dumbfuck :)

props on shutting 69roadrunner up. i gotta 24v and an old 12v i bought for 750- trying to rebuild it

  • @yougot90hot hahaa no need for apologies man its all good! and dam 750 bux??? the whole truck or just the engine?

  • @bobby21j

hey just a bit of information for ya, 98.5 - 2002 trucks that had a cummins had whats called a VP injection pump (all electronic) vs the P7100 injection pump which was as you know all mechanical. just a bit of info for ya ;)

  • @92w250CTD if you read my most recent posts/reply's to other peoples, you will read that i am somewhat knowledgable and how someone got onto my account posting dumb stuff like that :]

  • the truck only has one manafold and torbo for that matter so a double would just be a waste

  • I like how the driver barks the turbo pretty much every time he lets off from a hard run...that's so good for turbo shafts........

  • haha

  • its so bad, but yet sounds soo good!!!

  • He means "OLDSCHOOL" in reference to the 12-valve engine. It's considered the older generation of motor.. the body isn't oldschool, but some people consider a non-current bodystyle to be "oldschool". Either way, it's just boring semantics.

This is definitely a 1998 12-valve. I know because I have the exact same truck, (diff. colors). I toyed w/ the idea of buying other years, but getting the 98' was the best decision I could've made. Love the 4-doors, new dash/int and other 98' improvements.

  • the interior looks like a 24valve (or 98.5 and later model), doesnt sound like a 12 valve either

  • dude thats not an old school dodge

and old school is a first gen,not a second gen

    still a nice truck though

  • DAMN IT....i should have bought a cummins!!!

  • You better not have bought a POWERSTROKE! BOOOO!

  • yes...actually did...and 6.0 none the less...however...by 05 (thank god i bought an 05!) they had most of the serious prblems worked out of the motor i.e; injectors and turbo issues. the head gaskets, well, the motor will run a long time until you tune it, then you run the risk. so yeah, i bought deisel to tune, just bought the wrong fuckin one..lol. cummins will be next certainly.

  • All the diehard Powerstoke-lovers (who are also Cummins-haters) they should read your posts, kingbrewski!! It's a testimonial to the experience of OWNING a vehicle rather than brand-loyalty passed down from father 2 son - or rumors based on BS made up stories.

  • Sounds like 24v. Don't think it's a 12v.

  • Then you know nothing about cummins,

    that is deff a 12v.

  • What kind of an ignorant fagot idiot thinks a gas v-10 is faster than a cummins? Get a brain.

  • NO, both faster and more powerful are true. YOU SHOULD GET A BRAIN! FAG

  • well, if i had a brain i might be capable of slinging insults such as "FAG" on youtube... then i could be as cool as you.. on second though, ill pass, id rather not have a brain

  • Try reading the comments retard. This was the comment I was responding to: " the v10 are faster "

  • '98 twelve valve is the best engine dodge has ever made the 2004 dodge commonrail is a close second

  • 2004's suck

We had a 3500 and it was in the shop every other week, or maybe we just got a lemon out of the bunch.

  • the v10 are faster

  • V10's only faster stock, but so what? You can upgrade a Cummins to kick the crap out of any mod'd V10. And the V10 is a gas-guzzling relic w/ no towing economy whatsoever. It's an oxymoron (gas tow truck). Haha. V10.. a Cummins can run on any kind of combustible oil and the V10 may as well be a relic when fossil fuel shortages hit.

  • 24 valve cummins sounds lot better

  • that sounds like a 24v

  • i have a 98 (new dash, quad cab) 12 valve. VBest truck ever made!

  • im 16 and thats the exact truck i grew up in

i got a car now but im trying to save to buy it from my dad and fix it up

i love taht truck so much lol

  • which one sounds better a 12v or a 24v?

  • It depends on your opinion. 24V are a good bit louder at idle, more valve tick noise (obviously), the 12V are a bit more "nasal" sounding. I love 'em both.

  • You have been invited to.

    Horsepower Profiles. Com

  • how fast does a stock 12valve do anybody know and how many hp and ft-llb of torque thank u

  • Great turbo sound! Like the single stack on there.

  • very little black smoke

    good job

  • It has the 2nd generation dashboard, so at the oldest, its a 98, the first year of the 24V.

  • Yea thats a 24v!!!

    Your a dumbass!!

  • Sounds like a 24V cummins

  • It's not 'old school', but it is the 'greatest generation' :)

  • Sounds awesome

  • wow that truck is way stock, slide your plate forward, crank the starwheel, get some hight flow dv's, Injectors. Something Please! Nice vid though.

  • ok i'm sorry to say something bad about this video but....this is not an old skool cummins....i have the old skool cummins...that is known as a 2nd gen...but it is a very nice cummins

  • this truck is a second gen...

  • Old school is first gen. 2nd gen is not old school.

  • What is all done to this truck? and what size exhaust to the stack?

  • this must be a 98 12v cause the original 12v had those chrome mirrors and this one has the newer ones on the 98-02 model.

  • awsome video mate

love the startups and the single stack!
