Tooie just has more... instruments to it? I dunno, I know NOTHING about music, but I really like Tooie. Probably more than the first one, mostly cause I played Tooie first, and because it's just more enjoyable for me overall.

Also, Grunty Industries was probably my favorite level. *trollface* :D I dunno, I really LIKED the confusing non-linearity and millions of doors.

Except the batteries. Goddamn those batteries.

I very much liked Grunty Industries. The puzzles and map were by far the most challenging, but I'd rather have challenging stuff than easy stuff like most of the other game presented (e.g. the mine level and the circus level, both were easy). Besides, it's nowhere NEAR as bad as Rusty Bucket Bay, the widely-hated level from the first game.

@19andoverlol Yeah, Grunty Industries was a bitch. Only one thing I found tougher, and that was the Canary race in the sky on that Cloud level. Rusty Bucket Bay was easier than Click Clock Wood though IMO, and that level wasn't too tough.

I agree, Grunty Industries was unlubricated rape from beginning to end. Even entering the fucking level was more difficult than it needed to be because you had to take the train. Not to mention flying through the windows, going through elevators etc. Banjo tooie had a lot of exploration that required backtracking and a general sense of confusion, but Grunty Industries went WAAAAY too fucking far. That said, Weldar is the most gentlemanly boss in the game and has a badass theme, so consider him.

@kingvideogames Layout aside, the level just looks like shit. Pretty much all other levels in the game are flourishing with color, but grunty industries has not a single bit of eye candy. Clanker's cavern handled an industrial theme flawlessly, it was fun to navigate because you could see everywhere you needed to go, it was just a matter of finding out how to get there, and the colors gave it a grimy feel whilst still staying true to the eccentric colors of the game.

@kingvideogames What grunty industries decided to do was confine you to a single room, but give that room many exits and entrances. Every single room led to another, there wasn't a point where you could go "oh - I know where I am now because this room doesn't go anywhere else." Having these sort of "end points" helps the player visualize the rest of the map, and so the reason grunty industries is completely evil is because YOU ARE CONSTANTLY WANDERING WITH NO IDEA OF WHERE YOU ARE OR WHERE TO GO

They both work brilliantly giving you the feeling that you are up against a truly formidable foe and keeps your heart racing, always emphasizing when things got worse. yet at the same time it cheered for you, letting you know that this was a grand battle worth fighting and you feel that no mater how grand your foe, you had what it took to prevail. But I prefer Hag1 myself, It overall feels more Titanic to me.
