I have always had a soft spot for Abbott even though he is a liberal. The media just hates him because of his stand on abortion, however his views are well within the political mainstream, and he is tough.
He will be an aggressive opposition leader with Rudd in the Paul Keating mold. The man is very intelligent being a Rhodes Scholar. Even Julia Gillard shows him respect as a capable political attack dog. Interesting times ahead...
