i suggest we look into all the modern suppressed science that is validating the physics of consciousness and hence much of ancient, shamanistic spirituality, as it turns out when we think of burning a plant, electromagnetic waves increase in the plant, people in hypnotic states can be shown to see through matter, the concepts of morphic resonance and bioenergetics are showing that everything we though to be laws are all false and temporary as reality is infinity more complex than we can imagine

I agree with the content of this video. Spirituality, to me, is understanding and obtaining a positive relationship with Nature. It is not "belonging to a church", or "relating to a "God" or deity".. These are the old-world, now invalid definitions of spirituality. Having synchronicity and harmony with Nature is the only true spirituality. :D

As I understand it, Spirituality as meant in the vid includes the 'oneness and connection' many religions and mystic paths profess. However, it goes on to point out that while this 'Oneness' IS backed through scientific understanding, the 'separateness' from earth or 'dominion over all life' is not supported, but refuted. Doesn't this enhanced understanding of 'Earth' and our 'Place within Earth' inspire us to community on a Greater level?

this also means our relationship to each other is no different, its another force of nature we should learn to understand we should be honest and respectful. i say this to provide a reason for my next question...tho i agree with the message you put forward, what was the intent behind the music in the video? in my opinion its rather manipulative.

I am left uneasy by this video. It seems somehow inconsistent with the ZM movement. ZM does understand the notion that scarcity only exists in a money based economy. I am not sure I agree with the premise that humans are not a higher being. Maybe because I am human :)

Ya well LOVE is not statistically provable either...what is the point here? I think what many need to seriously understand is Life is not some mathematical formula or experiment. Many things cannot be explained. Why belittle others who maybe seeing something you cannot? Here's one for you, there is no such thing as Scarcity. Yep but does ZM teach that, nope because they are blind to this truth.

I don't think it is changing the meaning of spirituality,but it characterizes it . Definitions can vary. For instance, instance, the dictionary here in the country I live in, they define spirituality as a relationship (man-God, or matter-spirit), depending on the context it is used. I don't think one particular language should have the monopoly of the meaning of things, because the way concepts and ideas are understood, conceived and expressed can change from culture to culture. Nice video :)

The point is that the term 'Spirituality' has no objective definition. Thus, it is subjective to each and every person. You seem to like that definition from AHD, that is great. But someone else might not, so where does that get us in understanding each other or relating to one another?

Unless we define our terms from the get-go (and stick to them), we'll never be able to communicate constructively. As long as we use words that their definition can be moveed like a goal post, NOTHING progresses, it starts digressing.

It is not you but another poster. They assume they know me and even though they never met me. I been a propellant for the RBE almost from the time I found a movement for it.

I am in my upper 50's and I been for the environment since I was a teen when they taught it on school and I was part of the first earth day. HUGS

@SpiritLadyArtist You can try and invalidate my and others spirituality with dictionary definitions all you like, the fact is that you don't understand our spiritual relationship to the earth because you do not share it. The majority on earth do not have the type of spiritual connection that we do and that is why you are destroying the earth's capacity to support human life. For many their spirituality is based on delusion and as that changes the definition of spirituality will have to change.

@SpiritLadyArtist The problem is there is no equivalent term to encapsulate the "symbiotic and emergent nature of reality" without appealing to the supernatural. It is unfortunate because the understandings he is talking about are scientific, whereas the very word "spiritual" implies that we are incapable of understanding the unification of systems without magical thinking.

While I agree that many spiritual practices have little or no effect, we cannot discount the power of the mind. In our current understandings of quantum mechanics the state of a particle is unknown until consciously observed. More and more physicists agree that the world we see is only a probability until we actually observe it.

Studies in which people's thoughts influence random number generators, even if the numbers have already been printed, also show the minds power to influence the world.

@IHighLikePlane Very true but until we as a species begin to uplift our understanding of the world, we can use the scientific method for now as a means of strengthening our relationship with Mother Earth. Just like there has been a gradual change from tradition, we will also find in the future that the scientific method should be changed for something better.

@ajczeitgeist I completely agree, environmental and social sustainability should by humanity's highest priority. With that being said, it would be extremely beneficial if more people derived their sense of spirituality from the interconnectedness we all share with each other, the planet, all life, and the universe.

People think they need religions to make them feel connected and part of something bigger, when one only needs to look at the discoveries of science.

@EmpiricalWin If you do a google search for "random number generators studies" the very top result is a link for a study on groups of people meditating and producing anomalous deviations in random number generators. The website is "scientificexploration[dot]org­". There are more studies which can be found by further research.

I don't exactly know why it rubs me so wrong when I see people choosing comforting self-delusion over difficult reality. I feel as if they're cheating themselves somehow. I value my own life so much, and I find reality so interesting and challenging as it is, that I am downright offended when someone puts themselves in a delusional bubble.
