I do think you should consider giving your child some middle name like "China" or something simple & catchy that would reflect her ethnic heritage should she want to. Pick a female woman's name that is easy and catchy. I remember a boy in the 1950s whom was nicknamed "Tojo". Don't know if he chose it. Add a name like "Begina" or something nice she could use if she wanted to.

2) Humor is very subjective

3) Your attitudes towards my humor are based upon your own subjective preferences. Your initial comment was not an objective comparison of my humor to some objective standard of what humor should be. In fact, there's no such thing.

So, how then could my response be rooted in anything other than emotion/personal preference? It's like debating the merits of chocolate vs. vanilla.

It's not that hard to figure out. If someone gives you a hard time for standing up for yourself (defending yourself [which is exactly what I've done this whole time]), then that person clearly doesn't believe that people should defend themselves against aggression (physical or psychological). Such a person (by definition) has no self respect. It's a simple matter of logical deduction.
