  • Game of thrones soundtrack

  • looks like 8 people aren't coordinated enough to click the right button

  • Game of thrones and walking dead cant go wrong with these two

  • I've only ever seen 2 Solid shows on HBO: Rome & Carnivale. And it now appears Game of Thrones shall join their ranks as another Titan.

  • Its weird when you hear the guy playing Kahl drogo, didnt realize Drogo was a bro.......

  • I did not believe they could accurately portray this story in either film or television. I am HAPPILY eating those words now. I honestly cannot believe how accurate, & how epic, they managed to make it. People that I could never get to read ANY book are now asking me to borrow mine. Those who get impatient have gone out and bought the books themselves. HBO, I thank you. We should all support this series so it does not go the way of Firefly, Profit (old FOX show), Arrested Development, and Rome.

  • WINTER IS COMING..CHEAA!

  • This story has swallowed me whole. It's so good!

  • It's pretty incredible how different the actual voices of some of the actors and actresses are. Tyrion, Lysa, Drogo, they did an excellent job on their accents.

  • Winter is coming

  • i may have to skip the red wedding episode.

    D:

  • @danogzilla i got emotional when ned got killed imagine the wedding :(

  • you compare this show to ANY tv show and it blows it out of the water on EVERY level. best show ever. You can't even think of a show that will come up in the next 10 years that will be worth comparing to G.O.T.

  • holyshit. khal drogo speaking in english.

  • Some of the songs in this special are not on the soundtrack.

  • Best show ever, I can't wait for more.

  • This show is f*cking AMAZING!!!!! i love it! Love it! LOVE IT!!!!!! :D i cnt wait to see season 2!!!

  • I'm pleased that though CGI is used to touch scenes up in this show, it's definitely not the reason the sets are amazing. That head art dept. lady is a genius. Even when the show became slow and political, the sets were splendid eye candy.

  • @OtherSideOfSanity you can climb over the wall, you can go around it by the sea, or there are also small passageways you could get through. the wall is meant to stop an army, 9-10 people getting through isn't a big deal.

  • @OtherSideOfSanity There are ways to get past the wall, they are not the first

  • Anybody else want want a poster of Hodor holding you in his arms? Hodor, quickly to the nearest stipclub, Hodor!

  • It's even better than saw

  • I love this show reply to me if you agree

  • Best HBO show ever.

  • I found this world they created so engaging. I ended up becoming a huge fan of the series and am currently near the end of the first book :) I am looking for future seasons ^^,

  • Game of Thrones is like a tapestry sewn with blood. It's utterly mesmerizing.

  • i work summers in Malta as a tourist guide, i just watch the scenes, trying to figure out where they were filmed, great series. i just hope it doesn't and after a couple of seasons, like other hbo series, that would be disappointing...

  • This show is fantastic! Entertaining, smart, sexy, suspenseful, Shocking! Everything!!

Great Acting and visually beautiful!! Finally! Something worth watching!!

  • Amazing.

  • Love the show, never knew it was filmed in Northern Ireland, where I live.

  • BEST TV SHOW EVER

  • the casting in this is fantastic. Just saw the casting on Tywin Lannister, excellent.

  • so wish i had HBO, the book is flippin amazing

  • This video on the other hand is the usual American PR bullshit that makes people throw up all over the world. Good thing the people who made this video didn't make the quite magical show.

  • I love this goddamn show. EP 5 was brilliant.

  • Who knew if you found source material that is rich and deep, and gave smart people the chance to translate that to television, it would actually work? And all this time they've been giving stupid people with no talent shows in hopes that it somehow might be good. Why is there always so much shock about something being good when everything is done well by talented people who know what they are doing? What's shocking is if untalented people ever do anything well.

  • @greyeyed123 Very true.

  • I knew nothing of this series when I first started watching it, and I wasn't sure if i'd like it when i started the first episode, but now i love it. Great series.

  • This show is Great! That's for sure... but it is a complete different genre from my other favorite TrueBlood. And True Blood wins out with me mainly because of Eric Northman/Alex Skarsgard! Khal Drogo is incredible, But the Viking God of Sexy still does it for me! LOL They are both just really wonderful story lines... and I'm glad for the difference! Thanks, HBO, you've done it again!

  • 5 episodes in and I consider this show to be better than everything else HBO does. I'm a huge Sopranos, Six Feet Under, True Blood and Boardwalk Empire fan but the first few episodes of those shows didn't grab me as strongly as Game Of Thrones did. I hope this show stays on and every book in the series get adapted into the show.

  • @narg

I completely agree with you. And I hadn't ever heard of the books prior to the start of the tv series. Now I'm almost done with book 1 and have already acquired book 2. I recommend people to read the books as well!

  • @narg Generation kill? , Band of Brothers , each has to be on par right?

  • @narg You should watch The Wire.

  • @narg my friend, you are yet to see HBO Rome

  • @narg the wire. nuff said

  • i totally fell in love with the series

  • I honestly didn't think it would be that good.

4 episodes later- and I am blown away with how good it really is!

Love the Stark kids (and Jon Snow, of course)- love the warm family tie-ins, the intricate fantasy plot that somehow feels so very real, the cool foreshadowing and way things are woven - (i.e.- wolf pups saved from death who later each save their child masters and mistresses), and well, I could go on and on. Can't wait for more! :)

  • 25 min of awesomness.

  • this program is so addictive i want it on dvd when it comes out

  • Thank gods there is Arya, so I can use her as a moral compass. Anyone who's nice to her is good, and anyone who's not is evil. It is my lighthouse in a sea of moral complexity.

  • @Glucharina Heh, that will get muddied.

  • Can't wait for tonight's episode!

  • should have mixed in some ninjas and pirates into this story...

  • 1. Tyrion Lannister

    2. Arya Stark

    3. Viserys Targaryen

    4. Jon Snow

    5. Syrio Forel

I love this show! I never read the books before, but I'm on it now. :)

  • This show make Camelot look like complete garbage, which it is BTW.

  • awesome show

  • Now I have other concern though. If seasons do not have fixed length, then what is the meaning of term "year"? It would make sense to estimate everything in moons or something.

  • @minaboh24: I felt exactly the same when the Tudors and Rome ended! Specially Rome!!! This show is very promising and I am officially hooked!!!

  • 5 vampires came here to dislike GAME OF THRONES !!

  • Game Of Thrones makes other TV series look like hand puppet shows

  • Comment removed

  • Wow...did i see Christoph Waltz on the end?

  • On second thought having decade-long summer will help accumulate enough food to survive, you right.

  • Season lasting for years is kinda stupid. No one can survive 10-years-winter in Medieval kingdom. They will simply starve to death

  • @Glucharina Well that's basically the reason of Vikings' raids

  • @Glucharina

Society would adapt to it. You can't compare how we historically dealt with winter to a world with different rules.

  • NATALIA TENA!!!!!!!!

  • This show is GREAT. Ive seen the first two episodes and its amazing. Im so happy now because i wanted another epic tv series. When i finished seeing The Tudors and Rome i was very sad. I wanted another season of Rome. Damn vampires. (I dont say everything is bad, but things like Vampires Diaries?? Come on! Rome's fans alos have their right to have a third season. Love Game of Thrones!

  • This IS the best fantasy series to yet grace our tv screens. It is dark, epic, sexy, and FUN to watch. Only premium cable channels can offer entertainment of this quality(and graphic imagery!). Trueblood, Rome, Spartacus, The Walking Dead, & now Camelot and GAME OF THRONES! Time for every fan of this type of entertainment to get cable and a DVR, OR buy these series on blu ray, OR go to a site like icefilms and DL all these ep's!

  • Fucking owns. For anyone who hasn't read the books or doesn't like fantasy, get on board you fucktards.

  • I watched the first episode.. and I had the longest orgasm ever in my life.. Can't wait for the second episode so I can orgasm more :)

  • An original, witty, dramatic fantasy, with a great history and lore, I LOVE IT!

  • Sean Bean is saying that this production is even bigger than Lord of the Rings? I doubt it.

  • @achojj the book definitely is... and there's no real comparison between a film an a tv programme, it's just that different.

  • Danny is so hot !

  • How good? SOO GOOD

  • I haven´t seen it yet, because I don´t have HBO, but I´ll try. And I think, that much more better would be fantasy series from Steven Erikson, The Malazan Book of the Fallen, which contains entirely 10 books. This is really huge epic, but still really close to viewers and with excellent characters. In addition, there is the world maybe more specific and original - creatures, nations, continents, etc. It´s probably unmakeable project, but HBO has opportunity to make GoT, so they could do MBotF.

  • @SledujCZ I am also a great fan of Malazan, but I do not think that it could be adopted to a TV series as "easily" as Song of Ice and Fire. malazan is just much more epic, with great magic and terrible powers, it would need a LOT of really GOOD special effects to make it even come close to the books.

  • I watched the first episode and now I'm reading the first book. This series is fantastic!

  • Doesn't Harry Lloyd look and sound like Leonardo DeVinchi from Assassin's Creed II? OMFG!!

  • also the khal drogo is hot as well. so lts of eye candy and jon snow to. so yes a lot of eye candy is a good reason to watch

  • jaime is so sexy. i read the 1st 2 books and am starting the 3rd but god jaime is just so hot on the show. he is my fave

  • @fleurgi incest gets your juices flowing, eh? haha

  • @crimsontowers i don`t care about ceresi really. i only like jaime. ceresi is vile now that i have read the books

  • THE RAIN WILL FALL ON YOUR ROTTING FLESH!!!! That language sounds so sick!

  • GameofThrones, You have my thanks ;) Bravo.. Seriously.

  • Wow just fucking wow. I just watched the first episode, I dont usually come back here and write this kind of stuff but holy shit, finally a god dam series where they dont hold back on ANYTHING. In first ep there was Sex (not to the conclusion of oh hehe a boob - To the mature sense) some really cool dramatic scenes which was filmed IMO perfectly, And finally and foremost, The BLOOD. The blood used in this i would think is prop blood, None of this animation shit.

  • I really wish that I had HBO! I'm very please with pretty much all of the casting and the places that they chose. This is going to be so EPIC! I can't wait to finish the books now (currently on 3)

  • @blackbandannafilms I heard that it was coming out in June

  • Does anyone know if they cast Craster or Brienne yet?

  • @BraniusBalki

no, they haven't cast anyone from the second book onwards yet, as far as i know

  • This show has quite few seasons in it, hope is is liked well enough to keep it going a few years.

  • I love it so far. They have done the book justice. Can't wait for more.

  • who didn't like it?

  • George RR Martin needs to complete the rest of the books before he dies like Robert Jordan did with out ever completing the Wheel of Time Series! Hopefully this pushes him to finish the books.

  • hoDOR hoDOR hoDOR

  • Now it's all up to his largeness to finish the books and not do a crappy job.

  • @kokoinmars

Easy there, tiger. Imagine the weight on his shoulders. If he does it right, hes basically blown Tolkien out of the water.

  • @Nickodemusodurn That's a bigger if than his vastness himself.

  • @kokoinmars

    Haha, maybe. Have faith :)

  • Right the fucking next book already Martin!

  • HBO and GRRM: I love you both.

  • HODOR

  • Trevor Morris would have been a great composer for this series

  • i wonder if they'll use the giant's causeway that area looks like something out of a fantasy world

  • i hope this dosnt get canceled like rome.

  • I get more excited for this show every time I see a new preview/behind-the-scenes feature! Something I did notice in this video, though: they've credited Jack Gleeson as 'Joffrey Lannister'. Bit of a giveaway, that, isn't it?

  • i havent read the books but i did read a lot of the plots on ASOIAF wikia so i have to say the story is realy fucked up ( in a good way) :))

  • @Seriath1

Read the books. I'm sure the show will do a great job. But really you're missing a lot by only the show and wikia

  • my god the work done from hair-stylist is awful. Everyone seems to have the wig

  • never pays to lawful good , just ask Ed Stark

  • This looks amazing. Can't wait!

  • first two books are awesome, after that um, not so much. Hopefully they rewrite/reformulate if they make it past that on this series.

  • @kevmartin79 No way! Book 3 was the best of the series! 4 I agree though. Hope 5 is better.

  • @kevmartin79 i have to agree with freakinmayhem there, book 3 (storm) is by far the best of the bunch. although every one of the books absolutely rocks, even it has to be said book 4 (feast), which i agree is certainly slower than the previous ones, but it still truly awesome, i firmly believe that when book 5 'dance' comes out it will compliment 4 very well. i enjoyed 4 much more the second & third times i read it. anyway, i can not wait for this series to start, i only pray we make it past s1

  • Nice to see they kept the scene with Greatjon @ 14:18

  • Jon Snow, Robb and his sisters, his mother, the wolves all are major. Some live some die. I've read (4) of the novels, patiently waiting for #5 for about 3 years.

  • Already making more money overseas for HBO than any other series in it's history. More than Sopranos, True Blood,... anything.

  • Reading the first book now! My body is almost ready for this series. And now I'm getting outta here before spoilers.

  • Way UP in the ANTARCTICA some of it was from ESKIMOS? Miss South Carolina got a job on Game of Thrones? Sweet!

  • @gardenmidget1

    Spot on comment! :)

  • thats joffrey!!!!. WTF

  • Soooo happy this is coming to television!! Can't wait!! Shits gonna be EPIC!!

  • Rich like never before? He has obviously never read Tolkien or even seen the movies.

  • I've already succeeded in getting 5 people to start reading this series that never have in the last month. =) If this show doesn't destroy ratings I will have lost any remaining trust I have in humanity =P

  • This will OWN True Blood. HBO should not be afraid of this being fantasy. It's better than vampire trash.

  • @TheSkiingGuru Why do you have to hysterically attack something to validate your appreciation of this series? GoT isn't even competing with True Blood in any way. Apples and oranges. Are you that insecure about your own ability to discern what entertains you? Have the balls to be proud of what you like without resorting to infantile insults. Some people will like/dislike True Blood and some people will like/dislike GoT, get over it.

  • @justinski It's not a "hysterical attack." The comment was meant to be half joking as well, I'm honestly sorry if you thought it was an attack my man. And yes GOT will compete with True Blood. True Blood is basically a fantasy show that isn't called such because it takes place in the "real" world. It's also arguably HBO's most popular show atm. Game of Thrones cost around 50 mil to produce! It has as LOT to live up to, and I do believe it will be better (quality wise) then True Blood.

  • @TheSkiingGuru I agree that it's better but I've read and like both.

  • @TheSkiingGuru I agree. This will wipe vampire blood and glitter out of everyone's eyes and show them true entertainment.

  • @TheSkiingGuru This has nothing to do with True Blood...I love GOT and all the books but I like True Blood as well. They're completely different shows...

  • PLEASE HBO TAKE MY MONEY

  • Hodor.

  • i imagined Sam a Bit fatter.. oh well

  • Serbia

    YES

    YES

    YES

    YES

  • i think its awesome...... yes there are gonna be a lot of differences from the book ..... but someone name me 1 book-to-film that's word for word or is not missing some plot lines ....

  • @jcpeterman That's just it, we're not looking for word-for word here, simply getting names and the story right.

  • @luckyjinxer they don't call it the curse of sean bean for nothing

  • 23:52 fap fap fap

  • I CANT WAIT

and everyone should watch cuz I need this to get to season 3 xD

  • I.CANT.WAIT.

    ASDLJKSHKJASDHAKJSDHLAKSDJHALKSDJ

  • i hope this will be successful but the audience for this kinda show aint that big and the costs of making this show will be huge I hope this wont be cancelled after one or two seasons like Rome or Carnivale but then again I thought the same thing about True Blood and look how that took off...

  • HODOR!

  • Of course there would be adaptations! That is normal. But Cersei and Jamie have a very interesting relationship ( not to give any spoilers), so I think that giving Jamie and Cersei a similar hair would improve the feel of that.

It is similar to main Dothraki ( such a long wait that I forgot his name) having bells in his hair so you know he is coming. It means he is not a coward, does not sneak up on people even though he is kind of a " savage". Bells give him honour - that's the feel from the

  • The actress playing Cersei is retarded, and probably never read any of the books. She does not love Robert, and never did.

  • @walksofar

eh, the directors were also saying that in some preview, so I imagine thats where she got it from.

  • @Dogukan737 how can they be directors then!!!

    makes me so angry

  • @walksofar

I guess. But this won't really impact the series in any way. Will probably just make a few people rather confused.

  • @walksofar Careful, you'll be accused of being a nerd who wants word for word if you express any negative reaction to anything. The people commenting seem to think HBO is Lannister in the privy.

  • @LordSnow69

If you're so a stickler for accuracy call him Tywin, not just Lannister. There are a lot of them you know

  • @KngSol But then someone would've brought up ...

  • @LordSnow69

Maybe, but i'd like to think that ASOIAF fans would avoid such a spoiler. But I`m probably giving people too much credit

  • @walksofar Cersei never loved Robert, but she did "feel almost happy" (using her own words) when she married him. It was later, when he called her "Lyanna" while he was making love to her that she started hating him. I guess I would (and every woman would) feel just the same. Just saying :D

  • @MinSandoval

I hear ya, I really questioned that as well. Did you watch the show? Cersei is one of the only ones I was uncertain of (so far) and for exactly that reason. She needs to bitch it up a bit. And soon.

  • WINTER IS COMING!

  • rather than dwell on the things they have wrong let us rejoice in the things they have exactly right.... The iron throne, the hound's helm, the wall, the red keep, & the sky cells. Arya seems perfect as does Bran, Jon, Robb, Sansa, Ned, King Robert (black hair withstanding). Joff doesn't have the Lanister curls but he's got a punchable face so that's okay. to name a few. They are filming the unfilm-able, GRRM's original reason for writing the books was to get away from TV's restrictions

  • Here's hoping that Game of Thrones will become the Battlestar Galactica of the fantasy genre :D.

  • @JoshuatheKodiak Hell yeah! And I truly think it has a good chance of becoming so. :)

  • amazing this is going to be a great series
