I remember seeing this five years ago, when I was 16. Diana DeGarmo, overall, should've won!! Fantasia is unique, yes, but Diana had the more marketable voice. However, I don't think that America, at the time, wanted a 16-year-old to win American Idol, otherwise she would've been the youngest contestant to WIN AI. Yet, Diana still remains actively involved with Broadway and has a Country EP out on iTunes!! =D GO DIANA!!

I have 2 say this but it is so incredible 2 c a winner showing so much emotion n acting as if it is a huge huge huge deal. I know u always expect only girls 2 cry so I ll rule out David Cook n all the other guys. But Jordin Sparks barely cried. I mean I would b unable 2 speak n I would be on the ground crying my eyes out. At least Fantasia took all of that n put it in2 her final performance n it was so emotional n passionate.
