An incursion of micro-meteoroids into the fuselage of the martian shuttle would be viewed as something just short of an absolutely catastrophic event. Hard to think the comprehensive sounding of the ship recommended by Woody wouldn't be carried out just because it could delay the mission. Also hard to think the shuttle would be designed with unprotected and highly vulnerable liquid fuel conduits.
