damn people need to stop with the shit talking. this was absolutely an amazing video (: everything is just beautiful. i wish i can have one of these outfits (;
@ThePployzZ. Dude know the history before you talk shit. Its more like Thai Culture and dance is a copy of Khmer culture. Just because your country is more andvance doesnt mean you guys are the orginal, im sorrie learn before you speak.
It's more like the other way around.Take the advice of some of the people on here, acquire some true knowledge of the history between Thailand and Cambodia. It's ignorant of you to presume opinions imply facts.
I wonder if people in Cambodia still do rituals and prayers before traditional dances and plays. Back when I was dancing, it was required. I don't see anyone doing that here in the states, and no one else but my family that I've seen are practicing that in Cambodia. No one was ever allowed to touch our mokot or try it on.
@mizpuppet WOW!!!!! Finally I come across someone who really understand traditional Asia dancer. We have so many taboos and rituals just getting ready. It started with the cleansing,make up, costumes, accesories and finally the headgear. It's a big no no for anyone else to touch any of the dancers accesories especially the headgear.BTW I an a Balinese Classical dancer. I love all Asian classical dances.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING! i have never seen magnificent details of the apsara crown like this. i am practicing on how to make an apsara crown and this video is very helpful. i cannot thank you enough, this video will improve my details for the apsara crown. i really appreciate your efforts for posting this video up . thousands of thanks! =D
No worries. I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the positive comments. FYI: I'll be shooting a number of students in various traditional Khmer dance costumes this Sunday the second of October. This will take place in my studio as well as the National Museum in Phnom Penh. Here's a list of the costumes: Yeak, Sva Pul, Robam Chot Srow, Apsara, Hanuman. If you need some more close ups of the crown or anything else let me know. Cheers.
sorry for the late reply. that sounds great! i will check out that video soon. the costumes i have the most difficulties making/ wearing would be the nerong & yek. also thanks again for your kind offer. =)

LOL...I'm just amused every time a Thai sees anything remotely resembles to their culture they ignorantly claim theirs.
@Longchean - Great video! Who is the artist in background music? It sounds a lot like Yoyo Ma's cello.
