Oh wow. these dogs are beautiful guessing low content by looks but genetics is tricky with wolfdogs just like any dog breeding. I've read the comments and I'm surprised with how many TEXTBOOK answers I've read. If you have not had the personal experience with many of these true wolfdogs then all you are stating is what someone else said. I've had the pleasure of owning and working with wolfdogs; they are better animals to me then any of the known breeds. I will only own a wolfdog!
Essentially, all Wolf Dogs have been domesticated over the last 50 or 60 years, even if their percentage and content is verifiable at 99.99%. The Fur companies in the middle of the twentieth century did that task for us by breeding several generations in captivity for us so we could stay warm and look cool at the same time. These so called vicious wolves are simply dogs at this point and need to be treated as such.
I think dogs and wolves should never bred under any circumstances. They are wild animals!Let them be.I bet about 90% of the people who claim they have wolfdogs as pets are more than likely very poorly bred dogs and have no wolf in them.Seriously wolves belong in the wild, not as someone's pet. They were not meant to be pets.
@JessieAckles thank you someone who i can agree with !! and it makes so much sense.. dogs who are bred with wolves, usually the wolves are usually captured in the wild and brought to the person's home where they have a female dog in heat and breed them and make them breed conterminously.. it's a sad life for both mother, father and puppies.
@Jal1515 - the wolves were not captured from wild or as pups they were not stolen from dens. These dogs came from the survivors of the old fur companies. These animals are no more dangerous than your neighbors husky or german shepherd.
@runningchance they can be very dangerous. as the wild dominates and wolves are pack animals. when a wold wolf wants to take controll of the pack it will kill the current pack leader. this would mean as the human is pack leader wolf dogs have been known to kill the owner in order to take controll of the pack.
I was like "aww they're so cute!" for the first ten seconds, then 00:11 comes on and my face goes :O The puppy was adorable! I love hybrids; I have 2. Best pets I have ever had.
i do not see why people insist on having hybrid dogs. they are not pets, they're wild animals.. i presume they live outside and you rescued them?? and aren't breeding them either they aren't pets...
how about mind your business.. and learn how to spell.. and Czech Wolf Dogs.. aren't even wolves nor part wolf... they're just a mutt :) it's a GSD Husky and some other dog.. so don't be oh so proud of something that isn't even a wolf dog. mmmk? And hybrid dogs are illegal to own in many states and country.. and plus as "nice" as they are.. they are WILD animal and very unpredictable.. i owned one before who i adopted. So many irresponsible dumb people out there and you can;t notice it.
well with the proper care and attention they are predictable, people get the same misconception when it comes to pitbuls, yea if you show them aggression and are always separated from the animal,.. what do you think would happen? i read a story once of a owner who mistreated his golden retriever and its escaped from the house and killed a 6 year old child, so any dog can be unpredictable given the circumstances, the animal is a reflection of your being
@shizzel122 : i don't know why you are comparing a Pit Bull to a wild animal... really what are you on about lol.. my first post was simply about why do people insist on having a wild animal or a hybrid animal in any case. They're not meant to be pets they are meant to live out in the wild with other wolves because that is how they thrive and they need to eat real meat.. A Pit Bull is already a pet anyways it's domesticated. I think you need to read before making a reply lol.
my point was that your wrong they do make great pets my uncle has one and it never showed signs of aggression towards him or family/freinds, they just require a little more training than regular domesticated dogs and they're highly intelligent, i think you need to do your research.... noob
@shizzel122 lol okay but i don't care.. i think you should watch fatal attractions.. and have you ever heard of the chimp that went wild and killed a woman.. and a leopard who attacked her owner.. oh yes it happened.. both ARE wild animals and turned their backs on their humans.. just because it isn't showing signs of agression now who knows when it gets older and loses it.. i'm not a noob, you need to do your research on wild fucking animals that can potentially kill you out of nowhere..
@JaddeiLM lol idiot?.. yes doesn't matter if it's part dog or not, most dogs who are part wild, 99.9% of the time the wild dominates the domestic part of the animal.. do some research dude.. sorry but you shouldn't call someone an idiot when they know their facts and done the research :)
@Jal1515 Hey. I've done research like lots of research over the past 5 years worth and I will tell you I've meet more true wolfdogs that were great pets and big babies, while the neighbors German Shepherd dog or husky or lab even acted more aggressive and dangerouse then these guys did. That is why I'm planning on owning two Arctic wolfdogs. Already got a breeder. You need to do your research before you call these wonderful animals dangerous or bad pets.
@shizzel122 in my opinion your family is stupid.. lol.. i hope one day the WILD ANIMAL decides to go nuts and go on a killing rampage.. i feel badly for your uncle's "pet" wolf.. that should be running with a pack of wolves not a pack of people.. be realistic it's an animal not a pet and not meant to be one.. that's why we have dogs!! and they're intelligence is meant for in the wild not meant for human use.. so go do some research... because you ARE the noob.
@Jal1515 not sure why you should fell bad for it, hes had him for about 8 years now and its happy with wide area for it to run around in and i doubt the dog is gonna go on a killing spree, people like you just have one mind set and nothing will change that maybe one day you'll pull your head out of your ass, ok?
@shizzel122 : i'm not "one of those people" .. whatever you mean by that.. at least i care what environment this "dog" is living in and if it is getting proper care.. sorry if you have no once of respect for a wild animal that's probably being used as free money making machine.. then again i don't know this person and no clue why he is breeding it, but this person is making it clear that he is breeding his wolf dog to get money off of.. not even saving the species if it is an endagered one.
yes they can be kept with other dogs and animals. do much research before getting one. i have one and 2 dogs and they are wonderful animals. mine however isnt a low content like these. mine is very high content between 95-100%. definitly not for everybody though. they take alot of time espially when young to form the crutial bond (Of family). treat it as you would a child for the first six months.
"In the early spring of 2007 Governor Sarah Palin and Alaska Department of Fish and Game head Denby Lloyd announced a wolf bounty system effective in over 60,000 square miles of Alaska that would give a $150 bounty to the state sanctioned airborne wolf hunters as an added incentive to increase their kills. This clearly violated existing regulations and still provided no creditable scientific justification for such an extreme program."

I had a white german shepherd that was identical to the white wolf dog in this video. People would mistake her for a wolf when they saw her.
