  • imagine if you could've seen the footage!?!?!...WHEW!!! SRV is awesome no matter what!!

  • AWESOME LOVE THIS

  • Holy crap, never heard Double Trouble play this track like this. Wild but controlled at the same, like the jazzy slant at the start as well. What a master, gone too soon.

  • Bahahaha, he broke a string. No other explanation why we would go "false" @ the end. Thats how legendary he was. Playing "false" (which he hardly even did) when he broke a string and being able to snap 0.13 strings.

  • When Stevie was on, I mean really on, nobody came close. He was on pretty much all the time. But, sometimes he hit a level even too amazing, even for him. This segment captures SRV at that freaky level.

  • Reese is a bad Ass on those keyboards ! what a great add to that band Stevie knew just what he wanted, saw him play with the lonely Boys excellent show !

  • @Bluesbarri agreed 100%

  • Incredible! thanks so much for posting. I'm grateful to be blown away again!!

  • nice is the more of this concert

  • He was asked once about his live aggressive playing style. He said believed every show should be played like it was the last one because you never know when it will really be the last one.

The last night of his life he went on stage before Clapton at Alpine Valley. Listening backstage, Clapton asked Buddy Guy how he was supposed to follow that, meaning SRV's blistering performance. Buddy Guy told him, "just do the best you can do."

    Look it up.

He was a great man and a guitar genius.

  • never heard such a great version of this song before. thanks for uploading.

its now ten years i started following stevies music. and its so cool to find some new tunes from him

  • My god this man was a GENIUS! I've never heard anything better before or since Stevie. I will love and miss him til the day I die. RIP sweet man.

  • from 2:02 to 4:25 ..that's how a guitar should be played....no Hendrix ...no Clapton ..no crap ..SRV is the one and only..RIP brother

  • @buchris2001 You sayin Hendrix is crap.....He wouldnt have learned to play the way he did if it wasnt for Hendrix, Albert King,Freddie .B.B. ,Johnny Copeland, T-Bone Walker and all his other influences....Learn how to appreciate all guitarists for what they are......Then you will start to understand what music & guitar is all about...

  • at 4:05 with Tommy, is this a Tele or my eyes playing tricks on me???

  • @atolleter hahaha yea tele guitar and tele bass

  • @atolleter

it's a tele, probably just fuckn around in a jam sesh.

  • the riff from 3:19 to 3:23 really reminds of something Derek Trucks might play for some reason

  • is thier any way i could download the audio of this?

  • Stevie does a great lick from Hendrix´s All Along the Watchtower from 3:04 - 3:08

    genious!

  • God your right, the hairs stood on the back of my neck when i heard that.
